    Thank you for the post. Will checking the time after the completion of each CARS passage contribute to further stress? Also, some passages contain 7 questions which require 12 min, going over the 10 min per passage timing. How best to deal with that?

      You're welcome!
      Everyone is different, you have to practice in a way that helps keep track without causing more stress. As for different # of questions, it's more of an average. If off by 1 min here and there it's not terrible, but if you're starting to be off by more than 3-5 then you know you need to adjust.

    so you suggest doing discrete questions first??. The usually place them at the end of the 3rd passage the end and sometimes two passages before the end

    • @Leah4sciMCAT

      That is correct. That's my suggestion, practice and see if it works for you. (What works for some may not work for others)

    Hi Leah! Thank you for the video! When doing the discretes, how do you go about finding them amidst the passages so that you waste the least amount of time?

    • @wl5721
      @wl5721 4 года назад +2

      I don't think the discretes would be right in the beginning of the actual test, it would be randomly dispersed right? so that means the sci passage time tracking would not work?

      I recommend clicking through to find them. I know it's a bit tedious but the advantage of getting them done, and the mental clarity of NOT having to start with a passage makes up for it. I discuss this in the previous timing video: leah4sci.com/timing

    • @Leah4sciMCAT
      @Leah4sciMCAT  4 года назад +2

      That is correct WL. They are grouped in different parts of each science section

      Leah4sciMCAT I’m trying this technique tomorrow during my practice exam. But I quite like discrete Qs, they give me a break from passages

    where are the discretes usually? is there a specific placement so you don't take too much time looking for them?

      This is too much to answer in a RUclips comment. For MCAT questions like this, email me here: Leah4sci.com/contact

    How do we find the discrete questions quickly? Won’t we waste time by clicking through the entire section to find them?

    • @Leah4sciMCAT
      @Leah4sciMCAT  3 года назад +1

      Just click through until you find them. It takes a little extra time, but I personally think it's worth it. Don't take my word for it, try it in a practice test and decide for yourself!
