A little tip for you who likes doing melee builds: the Nuka World dlc adds absolutely overpowered mods for the sledgehammer and the baseball bat, as well as the disciples knife, the best knife in the game It also rends all mid sized melee weapons useless, because the disciples knife deals more damage than the best sword in the game while being even faster than a sword
it's a bit pricey, but if you can save up a few thousand caps to get the Throatslicer from that trader lady in the market area, it's insanely good. It's a disciples knife, which is already one of the best melee weapons for the reason you stated, but it also has a legendary effect that gives enemies stackable bleeding damage, making almost anything you encounter in Nuka-World (besides the nukalurks and the tougher robots) a complete joke. I killed every gatorclaw and all the disciples with that thing, then traveled back to the Commonwealth to ruin some yao guai's day as payback for when it got me stuck in a deathloop one time

I had clicked on a short about a 12 Guage shell being shot out of a slide pistol and when the picture loaded in froze this video started and I could hear it in the background. The funny thing is that for at least 1 minute the dialogue went perfectly with the blasphemy I was looking at in the short video.

Fun fact the size of your character actually effects how much melee damage you do. It’s a creation engine thing.
So that explains why my Khajiit character in Skyrim suddenly became an indomitable force of nature when I increased his scale.
