      Although the reality of God doesn’t appear to be optional for some people, for whatever reason. It also doesn’t appear that psychiatrists have a cure for that. If anybody has experience otherwise, please comment.

      @@onorg1 No, I was not presently aware of that. I’m not sure if the direct experience of God stems from a somewhat hardwired acquired belief that can be re-wired, or from a, well, direct experience of a deeper truth (or combination of both). I wasn’t necessarily implying it requires a cure. Perhaps it is society that requires a cure, or some rewiring … and hopefully not unhinging. ✌🏼

      @@onorg1 Thank you for sharing your experience. Did you at any point feel on an ongoing basis that your experience of God was more real than anything else, including your surroundings, relations, and so on (and not while feverish or under influence of a substance)? I’m not speaking from my own experience necessarily, but that is the type of situation I am referring to.

    I highly doubt enlightnment is possible while sleeping and eating and working is equal and regular.....still wishing you guys, good luck.

    • @shyamspov
      @shyamspov Год назад

      It may not be equal but once person gets enlightenmened he largely remains unaffected by activities, they don't leave any deep significant impressions on him, just like rise and fall of waves does not make significant changes on deep ocean

    • @onorg1

      @@onorg1 activities under deep ocean does not stop each next wave that comes on top side of ocean, your heart beat and pulse, your breath does not stops for any activity, state of being also is like that. It remains unaffected once you get enlightenment, in fact until it doesn't become permanent person is still seeker and is not enlightened.

    Hi, is it only me or does The 3 Gunas make no sense, at all? if purusha is the unchanging, eternal, than tamas is the guna, that is the closest to turya, .......sattva is adding even more maya, libraries full of maya. Tamas is the truth guna, it seems. Tamas also has nothing to do with demons, gods just want to enslave us to something.

    • @shyamspov
      @shyamspov Год назад

      In Tamas state person lacks awareness and unable to rise above his mind. His identity shrinks instead of expanding. In meditation mind becomes still yet it remains fully aware. That's why it is known to close to purusha, but in tamas state there is very little clarity and awareness.

    • @onorg1
      @onorg1 Год назад

      @@shyamspov Why would 1 lack awareness in inactivity? Why do you think that? The identity has to shrink, thats the point.

    • @shyamspov
      @shyamspov Год назад

      @@onorg1 let's first be clear any of the guna are not called bad, all gunas are purpose full, but when a person is not able to change his state comfortably and become bondage to gunas that's wherever prblm lies.
      Tamas is not related to inactivity but to lack of awareness, for example drinking alcohol is activity but a person looses his awareness in this activity, person will be under tamas. If a person can smoothly switch between different state of gunas, and remains awareness despite nature of his activity, that person will be called free. Indentity shrinking means person indentifyig with superficial part nature of reality. Like body is more superficial than mind, mind is more superficial and lower to intellect. Completely loosing identify can happen either you totally shrink it. Or you can totally expand it to identify with universe, both case will lead to end of ego.

    • @onorg1
      @onorg1 Год назад

      @@shyamspov I agree with your last point, but wait, when krishna talks about tamas it sounds pretty bad, he call it unevolved , demonic.....I dont really know what you mean be loosing awareness on alcohol, 1 either have awareness or 1 dont. I dont know any loosing or lessening of it. You might have less *mind* on alcohol, though , or be more lost in thought-stream, if that whats you mean.
      It seems i have misunderstood tamas, if it means: No awareness, that makes more sense.
      Anyway i dont really object here, i will need to think about this more.

    • @shyamspov
      @shyamspov Год назад +1

      @@onorg1 by loosing awareness I mean lessening of it. Tamas has lower degree of awareness, it is useful when people seek rest and break from activity, have some indulgence in rest, entertainment or pleasure, but when people get in completely under control of it. Starts acting greedy and irresponsible way harming others and self as well for sake of these comforts and enjoyment, that's what Krishna criticising. Rajas guna has medium degree of awareness, Satva has higer degree of awareness. Clarity of mind and self control varies according to degree of awareness. If people loose awareness when necessary like for rest or recreational purposes it's fine. But when over indulgence and loosing control becomes habitual to a person. He becomes harmful. That's what is being called demonic.
