Desensitisation Video - Fireworks

First half of this video is SILENT!
Turn down your volume to 10 or lower if your dog has real issues with fireworks. You want to start so it is just about audible to you.
I have added silent videos as well into this because firework fear can be stimulated by the crazy colours in the sky. So it is best your dog experiences all aspects of the firework.
Desensitisation takes time and won’t happen overnight. Over a matter of weeks or months (depending on how your dog does) you want to be playing this once a day. And if/when they do not react badly or show any signs of stress you can up the volume slightly.
Say you had it on 10 I would next try at 12 (for example)
Do this when it is light outside and not dark. When it is over reward your dog and go outside for a little walk or play with them to get rid of any nervous energy they may have.
Don’t do this a few days before fireworks will be going off in your local area.
Start your dog on this young and from a pup so they don’t grow up to become fearful.
