The slip collar looks far too slack because when the dog stops suddenly the ip lead will come off, this might be alright in an enclosed field where your not worried if the lead comes of or not, plus there not good for dogs that have necks that are bigger than their heads like greyhounds some smaller smaller dogs, i would prefer a harness.

Rice is highly inflammatory and hard to digest for dogs. I would certainly not give this recipe to any of my dogs never mind my diabetic one

This is an awful diabetic dog food recipe! This is loaded with carbohydrates! Treating Diabetes in dogs is the same as humans...no carbs means no Diabetes (except for Type 1s). Dogs are carnivores. They are getting diabetes from carbohydrate laden commercial dog food aka poison. Feed your dogs meat like they are meant to eat, especially to treat diabetes.

You should try this with a 46 kg female cane corso who for her first 13 months of her life only went outside a communal block of flats to go toilet and then her owner died on the 1st of December 2024, I took owner ship of her on the 2nd of December 2024. I’m doing as best as I can by watching RUclips videos. I’ve even contacted Will Athertons company but had no reply. Because we have no pavementsy dog have sometimes to be on my right and sometimes on my left, Not easy to keep changing the lead.

I have a Type 1 diabetic mix (sierra is part German shepherd and part lab). She hates needles to the point we’re giving her anxiety pills and they don’t work, and trying to bite (and she never did this before) and now off food only water. Help!!! We have tried many hugs and kisses but nothing works 😭😭😭 I’m so scared, Sierra is now an 11 year old neutered girl, she’s our everything!!!

Slip leads used the way shown in the video are simply choke collars. Used properly they should be placed high on the dog's neck and kept in place with a stopper.

Not misleading whatsoever. Best bit of advice I’ve had regards slip leads. Everyone else makes a big thing about the stopper being tight and no reason too. Great post, dog walks are excellent now😊

Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. I just found out my boy has diabetes. We are trying to get him over a UTI. He is showing signs of improvement with his U. T. I. It’s been extremely hard on me. Zeus is his name and he tuned into me the first time I met him at the animal shelter. I adopted him in a heart beat. I took him to the vet to get a good bill of health and he was in great condition. He was actually in sporty condition. He has always been healthy and strong. The first time I went down the steps to the basement in my house, he darted down the steps and he immediately started blocking me and standing in front of me with every step I made going down stairs. He knew I was and still am disabled. He has always stayed close to me when I walk. If he senses I am going to fall, he leans into me and stops my falls. He is not an assistance dog for disabled people. He just started helping me on his own. I have taken great care of him and I will continue to take great care of him the rest of his life. Every year, he has his vaccines and a dental to keep him safe and healthy and make sure he is not in pain from a cavity or infection with his teeth. Dental care is extremely important for dogs and cats. His dentals have been good every year. He started urinating in the house down a hallway last week, which he has never done and my heart sank because I knew that he might have a Urinary Tract infection. I called his Veterinarian and asked if she had any openings and told her what happened. She saw him at 3:00 pm sharp. This was just this past Tuesday. I was right, he had a U.T.I. And he was diagnosed with diabetes. I’m still in shock about it. His Vet let his other Vet know and they have been very supportive. I was on her looking for Diabetic Meals for Dogs and your videos popped up. I am very grateful for your recipes. I got him the scanner that goes under his skin so we don’t have to poke him all the time in his ears and/tail. I also have his insulin as well. He is a picky eater, therefore I am highly hopeful for home cooked meals for him. If you or anyone else has any tips or good advice, I am very much looking forward to seeing them from you and others on here. I will be very grateful. 👍😉👌😃❤️❤️❤️❤️

Depends on the breed of dog on age it becomes adult larger dogs can take up to 2 years before it's an adult.

Derivatives are whatever crap they can get a hold of and it will change so they dont want to be specific. For example, it might be vegetable and fruit skins or horse hooves. The dog food industry benefits from keeping info from consumers. And the dog food companies support the vets (no conflict of interest there?😂). WHAT A SCAM!!! This food is killing our dogs slowly and making them very sick throughout their life.

But surely rice, lentils etc are very high in carbs - not good for diabetes ... ? I give my dog meat, poultry, courgettes and quinoa

I think you should give the star wars collection a try. I myself am stepping my way through the game of thrones challenges. I have done two out of the five so far and am currently doing the 3rd and 4 th to unlock the last one.

I am glad that you are speaking out about this. I had my dog on some of that pedigree stuff and it gave him behavioral issues and when I took him off of that, food and went and found a better food for my dog. His issues cleared up. So with that being said, I am hysteric about you.Talking about these bad things that are being put in our dog's food.❤❤❤

Can this slip collar cause tracheal collapse?

This is a bit misleading to be honest. A P or a 9 depending on the dog's position yes. But the most important thing is the stopper. The lead should be high up behind the ears and crucially above the trachea. Then a stopper slid down to hold it in place. Enough slack to pop a correction if required.

I m in Canada. I think the dog food industry is a joke. Like you I read everything on a label, which is why I cook for my pets. My dog gets fresh stews and stir fry’s and my cats love eggs and chicken. I give science diet for kibble and very little. Just something to crunch on for them. I wish more people would be aware of this stuff

Late to video here. Just found scrumbles after struggling to find my dog a good food. Raw to top quality complete drys to different wet and she would turn her nose up at everything. And boom scrumbles she found. 3 weeks in and she is eating as a normal healthy dog should. Poops are healthy coat is shinning happy pooch. Good vid. Could you do an updated video on scrumbles as I’m sure it’s changed since this vid.

Tardy to the party but I absolutely love conqueror. I am working on the lord of the rings trilogy - I finished the first challenge in about a year. The second one will take me about a year and a half. I could definitely do it faster if I linked a step counting device but I like manually inputting hikes only. The medal is gorgeous - and I love how the ring can be moved to the next medal so you "carry" the ring to mount doom. So much fun, and so motivating.

2 XL Chickens boiled with Mince , half a bag of frozen veg and a cup of rice, topped with a couple of tins of sardines is what I cook up for my 2 Lab Xs once a week at the cost of £15 or just under from Lidl's ,mixed in with a bit mid range dry food .
