How to convert a car into a camper (Renault Grand Scenic)

- This is a short introduction video about furnishing my Renault Grand Scenic. I was travelling in this car for 4 month in Europe in 2020. I was completely independent with this expansion, mostly parked in nice places and sometimes used campsites.

Have you removed the seats and built your own platform? Does the platform fold up to remove and store? How easy and light are the seats to remove in this car?
The seats are easy to remove and put back in. The car is perfect for changing seats and making it flat in the back within a few minutes

nice work! how did you fix the curtains?
I sewed part of the velcro to the fabric and glued the other part of the velcro to the interior of the car. If it gets very hot the part in the car can go off but this wasn't a problem in 4 months of traveling. It was always easy to get it back on
Im 193cm tall .would i fit my mattress in that ?
It will be challenging. I am 178cm tall. I would say more than 185 - 190cm will be probably touching the trunk
Nice Video!! I've bought a scenic myself and would love to transform it the way you did! So the wooden box is 55cm in height right? How long and wide is it?
Hi David, the box is 1,08cm wide, 0,29cm height and 1,78cm long. The 1,08 wide I divided in two seperate spaces so boxes can fit in on both sides. Depending how big you seperate them in the middle I had space for around 0,51cm each side. and the seperation wood was 0,06cm. You can build it heigher but I can't recommend it bc you will sleep very close to the roof than. Just take care that these were my measures for the Grand Scenic.

So how do you get out of bed in the morning or perhaps during the night when nature calls? As far as I know you can't open the rear door from the inside. Thanks for sharing this video BTW.
I always used the side doors. That worked pretty good for me
