Chelsea sees Adam as a conning partner to help her with her schemes against his family & turns on him at the drop of a dime when he grows a conscience & vows to be a better person. She hates that he has a better connection with Sharon, a woman who loves him for _him_ despite the crap they put each other through. Nick (& now Mariah) wants to dictate what she can & can’t do where he’s concerned, yet are both in relationships with women with dirty pasts. Nick was unfeeling/unsympathetic when she learned about him sleeping with Phyllis. He was begging for her forgiveness, but he had one foot out of the door & didn’t hesitate to throw Diego/Cameron (a guy who tried to rape her) in her face because he was tired of her screaming at him over the affair. Sharon had to sit back & swallow the big Phick pill & she couldn’t remind him about how he basically set a fire to their marriage (because he didn’t wanna hear it), but he’s written to give her lectures on top of lectures about Adam having "not changed". Kidnapping Faith & Newman Enterprises aren’t the only reasons why Nick hates Adam. He was a better husband to her than he was.

And I'm sorry, but Chelsea should've cut her ass loose after she started dragging him to her face. She's got a child with a pedophile, stole from the late Mrs. Chancellor, & attempted to try killing Adam a total of 3 times, yet feels as though she's got the right to preach to Chelsea about her choosing to stay with Adam. Unreal. It wasn't until he discovered a piece of Delia's scarf that he panicked & covered his tracks, but Billy killed her by leaving her in the car. If he would've left her & Dash (her pet dog) at home with Victoria, she'd still be alive.
I get why people hate Adam. He did terrible things and he will continue to doing horrible dings. But they have this deep connection and understanding and that never went away. Maybe he really loves chelsea, too but the connection and the bond with Sharon is stronger. And chelsea knows it 100% but keeps getting back to Adam. Why? Not really smart. Maybe 2019 he wanted to have chelsea and sharon was backup because chelsea first hesitaded. But now 2020 you see Adam would choose sharon over chelsea in a heartbeat.

I have grown to really like Mark Grossman as Adam. He is great with Sharon, but I am okay with him being with Chelsea or Sharon, he has way more chemistry with Sharon. Micheal Muhney as Adam, I could not watch him with Chelsea! I stopped watching at that time. MM will always be my favorite!
