I'm sorry but I'm not following how we jumped straight to the breakout box, nor do I understand how we went from taking a continuity test on a relay to swapping out an ECU. Personally I went to back probing the K3 relay and back probing the fuel pump and saw 0 volts there. After replacing the K2 and K3 relay I still got 0 volts... I was stumped ....on level 1....jesus man......

I didn’t continue watching THIS video so I could do level 2 on my own. So my question is . 1- do you explain WHY you concluded to replace the écu in THIS video or another video?

@@pinoy1ntense he basically did it the funny way and got away with it. the reason there was 12v with ignition on is that there was no load on the circuit, since the connector was unplugged. the right thing to do is to backprobe the fuel pump connector both power and ground with the pump running, and in that case we would see a voltage drop, which should not have been there. there are only 3 things, that could be wrong in this case. they are 1) bad pump ground 2) bad supply voltage 3) bad supply wire. he checked for supply voltage at the relay only, which did not give sufficient evidence that the supply wire was bad. the guy just got lucky. and if we are talking about learning here, don't forget that there is a connector that could be bad aswell, which is not accounted for in this simulator.

sorry, but I can´t show that vid to my students. Maybe as an example for how to do it not. You connected the breakout box with ign on! The measurements at the relay weren´t also logical. That was quick yes, but by far not professional like.
What are these vids for? examples of what should not be done? Voltage meassurements with an unpluged electrical consumer are absolut senseless. How do you get the solution , that the blue cable to the fuel pump should be replaced? You got 12 volts at the pump. The black wire could have been broken or with a resistor as well. The Simulator is quite perfect, except a few bugs, but your training videos are useless.
It isn’t very challenging putting a faulty ecm as level 1. Most inexperienced techs would just order an ecm and cross there fingers

ECu box is faulty. because it does not output voltage 5 signal to control main relay.
What was the main reason/fault that made you replace the ecm? Sorry I am trying to learn
