It would be great if the people who did this interview could edit this and at least minimize, if not eliminate, the background noise so the viewers can hear the questions and answers which I can tell are good and substantive, thanks to the interviewers and of course to Catriona. The world especially the Filipinos, counting myself in, have a lot to learn from Catriona because of her undoubted and inherent beauty as a total person, not only physically. I've found it so stupid, hearing some people bragging about Cat's defeat in MW and that she's hopeless to win MU whereas many people believed even in other countries, that she got robbed for the MW title. Why don't we just support her, and believe that she' could be destined for a MU crown. Can you just open your eyes to see how she's captivating and lend your ears to hear how she's smart. Just so you know, there were couple of MU winners who have joined other pageants before winning MU, therefore the idea of Cat's delusional in winning MU is really a no brainer for me. I know that everyone is entitled with their own opinion but please learn to give your opinion with modesty, instead of eliciting hate with it.

There is nothing phony about Catriona, she is just super smart and genuine. Catriona came from good schooling and a great home, so there is no question that she cannot answer. Catriona speak from the heart, it's those bashers who are scripted not her. Catriona doesn't have to memorize anything, she speaks from the core of what she knows. Honestly this is a gifted young lady.
I think Ms Universe 2018 Catriona Gray should be one of the Judging panel next Miss Universe Pageant. I like her to be one among them. The interviews almost all the same. Miss Universe is just so polite to answer them.

Catriona is so clever, napaka bright nya and good choice pang MU. Brain and beauty talaga.Mey maraming magagandang Filipina ngayun, no doubt with that, but not so clever. Ang oratory sagut nila ay normally shallow at napaka mahina ang English. But itong si Catriona ay full pack 'to sa brain at saka beauty at talent nya marami, great singer at hands on artist, plus oration nya spontaneous and quick talaga at ang mga sagut ay exactly right. She'll be the best representative ng Pinas for all time. All the best for her journey ng MU. This silly clamour and protests that Ms Philippines should be brown skin Morena is truly rotten to the core and racist, because not all Filipinos have brown skin look darker, in fact these days you see majority fo Filipinos have lighter skin, I guess some of that had been of the use of skin whitening lotions and soaps. Even myself have very light skin and I'm not half. I might be mixed few generations back, but such comments by some Filipinos were pathetic and less sensitive.
Being a Filipino is not defined by skin colour but by the heart and being born into the culture and the identity. Most people are confused, mistakenly defining a Filipino as a RACE, which is not. Filipino is a national identity. Which could mean a congregation / group of people assuming/adopting an identity but from mixed racial back grounds.

Most critics are talking about truly filipina beauty and not mix, not cosmetically enchanced or altered looks.
Thor Nado, I don't know where ur from, but just visit a Philippine mall, can you see 50% of Filipinos out there being truly kayumanggi ( naturally dark brown) or much darker of this day and age? If you tour in the mountains, you can see majority are kayumanggi due to life activities or under the sun palagi. That percentage of 98% natural kayumanggi for all Philippines I doubt it - I don't know where you get that from. Is there an official site statistics on that? Many Filipinos are mixed chinese and are not naturally kayumanggi anymore. I guess being brown from under the sun is the factor but actually they are part yellow/ fair skin race as the chinese. Nag ba brown lang as they're exposed under too much sun, but that's hard to classify such as naturally Kayumanggi. Yet when those people aren't exposed under much sunlight, they turn pale and light skin as in the case seen in many OFWs who lived abroad (US and Europe). This definition of Filipina beauty and a "must be" Kayumanggi is truly unrealistic to this generation of Filipinos. A true Filipina beauty should not be defind by skin colour. Are people blind themselves? Just look at MU's Glori Diaz, Margie Moran in the majority of the Pinay beauty queens in the past and present, MOST OF THEM ARE MIXED RACE, they are mestisas, there's no such true Kayumanggi ( pure pinay) winning beauty pageants who are not mixed, not ever. Looks at Gloria Diaz alone, she is metisa, so as Margie Moran. My goodness, these critics have have been blind or stupid? The fact is current science researched findings has declared that mixed race people are more beautiful and clever in comparison than those who are racially pure. Just google it. These people shouting out demanding for KAYUMANGGI skin ( pure race) Filipina beauty is either less educated and wasn't exposed to the real word, otherwise they would have known much better and have much understanding and flexibility. Another is, these critics have themselves hidden deep insecurities of their own skin colour, unconsciously exposing it through their complaints, crying out loud for brown skin beauties , virtually to represent and relieve themselves of their insecurities which is truly a very sad reality. Beauty is only skin deep anyway and should not be a core criteria to negatively judge anybody, either kayumanggi or white/ yellow skin should be fairly accepted. Nonetheless, the demand of whitening creams, soaps and lotions across Asia alone is a great evidence of how people , not just Filipinos have less regard on having a brown skin tone, other wise this demand for skin whitening solutions would not end up on supermarket shelves from one end to another.Yet small part of the the truly kayumanggi population who are in denial, cried out "silly" loud their less realistic issues exposing their ignorance with much racial bigotry.
