Absolutely the best Trick Step Install video on RUclips!
Thank you sir!
Thanks for the video. My Trick Step arrived last week and I'm anxious to put it on. The company personnel, especially Joe, are extremely helpful in deciding on the correct Trick Step for you and your boat trailer
Thanks for the feedback. You will not regret getting them!!!!
Thanks for the video. First one I've seen with the locking system, and well done. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the feedback. I researched many videos and didn’t find one with the lock in the video.
I put these on my trailer two weeks ago. Love them. Easy install
They sure have saved my knees! I am getting too old to climb in and out like I used to!
Thank you for the video it was very helpful. Great job on the installation I'm looking into getting one for my boat.
You will love it. I just published another video on towing with the trick steps. May help with measurements. I was looking for that kind of info when I was researching trick steps. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic demonstration
Thank you!
Good instructional video. You will love those things, I wouldn't know what to do without mine.
First instructional video. Maybe I will figure out what people want or need to see for the next one! I couldn't find any on the locking plate so I figured I would make one showing it.
@@demboyzfishin1389 You did a great job
Thanks!
Great install video! Really nice work
Thanks! When I bought them, I couldn’t find anything on the locking plate so I figured I would put something out there. Hopefully it helps! Thanks for supporting the channel!
@@demboyzfishin1389 that’s what I call being a trendsetter! Nice job
Bought a set for a Z19... That came with a very similar, but massively inferior step set up.
I couldn't be happier with them.
My knees thank me every time I use them!
Well done. Thanks.
Hope it helps!
Thanks for explaining the lock because that is what I wasn't sure about. Looks like it will keep an honest man honest but if someone wants it bad enough they'll get through it and get the steps but should keep them safe from someone wanting a quick grab. The way I get out of my Tracker 175txw after loading on the trailer puts my nuts in a bad place if I slip thanks to having really short legs and even getting in can be risky with a dew covered trailer and aluminum boat. Placing my order for these right NOW.
I am glad you found it helpful. I searched & searched for info on the lock & never found anything! I am pleased with it
Nothing anywhere. Not even on their own web site.
If they want to sell them they need better install info !!!
The nuts screw on to the bolts....
You made that look easy.
It wasn’t all that hard if I didn’t have to call for back-up!
@@demboyzfishin1389 haha. I know what you mean.
👍 very informative. I am in the process of installing the trick steps now. I have a question about the installation. For me the steps are a little low. Do you know if the steps can be raised on the winch post without slipping?
They can. Just make sure there is enough clearance for your boat
Great video. So it appears this doesn’t stick out any further than the folded tongue correct? I’ve seen so that would keep you from lowering your tailgate or opening your SUV hatch. This design appears it would interfere with either.
I can still lower my tailgate with no problem. I am putting together another video that will show how it is towing and backing with the steps. Thanks for watching!
Width wise, does it stick out farther than the outside of the fender well?
It does not stick out farther than the fender well. Thanks for watching!
You didn't mention anything about a hitch extension or about the steps hitting the back of your vehicle when you turn to the right.
I have another video titled “Towing with trick steps” that covers that and then some. Thanks for watching
I like ,, thank yu ..
Thanks for the feedback! Thats the kind of info I was looking for when I was shopping for trick steps. I have another video that has info about towing with the trick steps if it helps!
Great video. I really need to get this. My question is about bottom step, it looks low and could drag the ground at some point. Have you had this happen?
I have had no issues with it dragging at all. It does not even touch the water when loading the boat. My knees have thanked me time after time for getting those!
Also, if you check out the other videos on my channel, I have one for towing with the trick steps. It includes a lot of measurements you may find helpful including ground clearance. Thanks for watching!
Great video. So it appears this doesn’t stick out any further than the folded tongue correct? I’ve seen some steps that would keep you from lowering your tailgate or opening your SUV hatch. This design appears it won’t interfere with either.
That is correct, it does not extend beyond the folded tongue. You can still lower your tailgate as normal. I don’t have an SUV but I would think the hatch would open as normal also. Thanks for watching & asking questions. Helps everyone!
@@demboyzfishin1389 thanks for the response. I’ve got a 2005 Tracker Pro Crappie. Called Trick Step this morning and I am almost certain we’ll be adding sometime before next season.
@@R23HTC I am 6ft 4 in and 250 lbs. I love it. Not sure how much longer my knees would have been able to take climbing over. Not to mention it is easier to stay dry which helps when it’s cold!
@@demboyzfishin1389 yeah. I’m 6’3” and ain’t getting any younger. I’m looking at it as anytime I go out will probably be the one handling everything. May get a Drotto as well. Make everything easier.
How is it loading the boat in the wind? bow won't hit the steps?
Loading in the wind is no different than without the steps from what I have experienced.
How do you like them? Holding up good?
I have not had one problem with them. Haven’t even had to tighten any bolts from the vibration of towing. My knees thank me every time I go fishing!
Will the handle go under the garage door?
Yes, mine will. The roof of my truck is higher than the handle. There are variables to consider though like the height of your garage door and the height of the hitch on your vehicle. With my boat level on level ground, it is 71 inches (just under 6 ft) from the ground to the top of the handle. Hope this helps!
@@demboyzfishin1389 I appreciate that.
@@joeydeborahelkins1780 anytime. Glad I could help!
Red loctite on the existing bolt threads is far cheaper
