Once you've played this game by a fair amount try out expert controls, that is where it feels a bit more like a flight sim. But since this is your first time with flight sims, beginner controls are ok.

Even if you are a beginner i suggest you turn on advanced controls and suffer with it for a few missions so you will have it down.
