I remember the fire. The amount of smoke was astonishing. I thought it was much closer than it was. My neighbours were there at the time. We saw them on the pitch during the news reports.

I remember when my brother got home he was really traumatised by the hole situation and didn't want to talk about it for a long time, but after a bit of time went by he did mention his experience. When he told me what others and himself did by pulling people to safety and putting people out that were covered in hot tar on fire, I totally understand why he didn't talk about it. He said literally within 5-6 minutes it had gone from lots of smoke too a complete inferno.
