Would be curious which one you would take on the road with you if you were between the two. Looking for a pota/vacation rig. Other radio for base is a ftdx10.
      Thanks in advance

I have owned both of these radios. I love them both. I am a casual HF'er and for that reason I prefer the Icom. However, if I was a DX chaser I would prefer the Yaesu. I was happy with both of them for various reasons. I do prefer Icom programming compared to Yaesu's. Sometimes on the Yaesu I felt like I didn't know what was happening and where I was at in the programming. Once you have it for a while though you get it figured out. The Icom is more usable straight out of the box. Very intuitive. I do like the color display and the scope if very nice, but I really don't need a scope since I use Netlogger to know right where the nets are located, so no need for searching. I was happy with both of them. It is just a personal preference. Of course, no internal tuner on Icom. :>( Thanks for posting. 📡

You have to touch in the upper left hand of screen where it says USB or FM and then pick RTTY from the menu. Then you have to find the frequency and then push DEC for decode. It is very easy.
