Love the hair lite. I use flash or sun myself. Nice video👌🏻

When I looked at the videos I filmed in Lake Oakland last year, I was filled with mixed feelings. How did I manage to walk out alive with a full cart of equipment and without getting robbed or shot? I’m also glad that I did the photoshoot there before the crime rate got terribly bad, I would never go there again.

your explanations are easy to follow. I now understand why most photographers don't use flash - they just expose for the subject. However I like the way you use flash exposure combined with ambient exposure. its really useful, thanks for making great videos

Nice video. I like to see you suggesting posing. Good job at describing what lighting you were using, why you were using it and what it is like with and without flash. Very easy to understand.

That image at 8:37 is straight fire 🔥. Lovely shoot. What lighting stand are you using? Also we’ll done to your model for staying confident in such a busy location.

Thank you Chani! I used a heavy duty lightstand which you can find on amazon (keyword: heavy duty lightstand). Yes, she's professional!

With your shutter speed being so high..does this mean your using HSS??..is so can you demonstrate as I'm still learning as well..
    Great tutorials!😃

Yes that’s right! A high shutter speed is used in determining the ambient exposure as I widened the aperture. HSS is turned on on the flash; since I am a canon user I just had to turn hss on the flash. For Nikon users, please go to the camera menu, go to bracketing/ flash and select auto fp1/250.

What do you mean by "color graded"? Did you adjust your color balance in camera? Thanks. Very informative video.

But you are using HSS to achieve that .What if you are shooting with a 75Ws speedlite where HSS is not a good idea ?
