@@demonellblockstarplanet8312 Watch closer, watch again and again. You will see that he only engages melee fight when the enemy give him no other options. His playstyle is to drop the hydrant to split the scenario in 2, move away from the target, charge his special and then use it. Then repeat. How do you call that? It's not a zoner because he doesn't force the enemy to stay in a zone. He just protects HIS zone, therefore, a camper.

My heart started pounding when Tea was on the verge of losing in the last one. But then that play where he just looped around and sent DK to the blast zone was perfect.

I'm glad I'm not crazy. Donkey Kong is stupid strong in the right hands, even against the best Pac-Man. Always thought this matchup was in Pac-Man's favor, but Dk mains are on another level. Always whoop my butt.

DK is only +1 for us since he has Hydrant counters and back air. DK can genuinely make it work.

It’s not the matchup man. Hikaru is has learned his matchups and is just very talented. The matchup is still bad for donkey Kong
@@Fathergoodies Exactly. This matchup still sucks ass for DK but matchups dont matter at this top level. If both players are evenly skilled it can go either way. And Hikaru is cracked too

i love how this fight evolved. hikaru went from jumping a lot dodging faking atacks like in the first round to a more tanky playstyle. calculating waiting only shielding no useless jumps exactly how i play dk
