I got so FED UP with my iPhone after the last update that I discovered it would fold perfectly, using a small vice.
If Samsung messes up Fold 6 by giving us the same thing again for 6 times in a row...(narrow screen... crease)... people now know where to go!
Samsung has consistently proven that they will NOT be bothered to make any significant improvement to their products if they OWN the market. Remember Flip 3 to Flip 4? They're essentially the SAME thing! Only when Oppo launches their Flip phone with a usable mini-phone-like cover display did Samsung then take the effort to out-do them with an almost full-screen cover display. With at least 5 other brands (Google, Honor, OnePlus, etc) releasing much better folding phones that's officially released outside of China, Samsung will have to outdo these competitors or else its market share will be bitten off in CHUNKS!
Got a feeling they will with the fold 6 to get ahead like larger front screen bigger inner screen and adding the s pen in the bottom like the s24 ultra etc
@matthewella8280 That would be cool. I personally don't mind no slot for s pen because I like a big s pen and don't mind carrying it in the case for that reason.
Yea stayed with fold 4 because of the narrow front screen issue. If fold 6 is more of the same then yes I'm jumping ship, seems xaomi will also be doing a global release as well.

Still using my Fold 1. Still love it but do like the newer ones with the bigger cover screen. As far as the crease, dont ever notice it and anyone that is going to whine about a crease dosent really need a foldable phone
I've learned one thing hard and clear. Reviewers tend to focus on specs way too much but not the user experience. Coming from a fold 4 to pixel fold. I can honestly say pixel is way ahead in overall user experience
They also all continue the ridiculous lie about how thin it is, a phone is only as thin as it's thickest part

I still like my z fold 5! Fold 5 has nice software features, samsung care, Dex, eco- system, tons of discounts & accessories, 7yr updates. I like slim display because it also causes you to use the larger display.
P.s. Just my opinion
you have ego issue, cannot admit Honor is better. FYI, I had the Galaxy Fold 3 AND 4. Today I use the Iphone 15 Pro max
I do agree the software is better on the fold 5 but the honor magic in hardware and design is lightyears ahead . I have the s23 ultra
@morm2173 you don't have an s23uktra all all cause nothing on any andorid phones is light years there's literally no tech that good at this time. His comment was spot on. Their software sucks but super fester smashes together, barely complimenting each other.

can you test the honor magic v2 in a torture test dirt/water/dust since it doesnt have a formal IP rating on it?
Can you feel the crease when using the phone (like on the fold 5) and doesn't came with a s-pen and anti-fingerprint screen protector?

Nice Video. I have been rocking the Purple Honor Magic V2 512GB since September(China Rom) and I have to say this BLOWS the Samsung Fold series out of the water when it comes to the hardware design. It is ridiculously light, even with a case on. I prefer the software of the Samsung but otherwise the Honor Magic V2 is sublime. I also have a Vivo X Fold 3 Pro which is also a SICK foldable as well. Samsung & Google need to bring it with the Fold 6 & the Pixel Fold 2. 📱📱🤳🤳♥️♥️♥️♥️

What launcher are you using?
I have the Oppo Find 2 (Oneplus Fold). It also has an awesome screen both inside and out. No Grand Canyon down the middle and pretty much all the rest of these features. ALOT cheaper too with global rom. But slow on the updates and still on Android 13 but still pretty good to use.

How does this compare to the oneplus open?
Looks awesome but thing about the form factor... it's not really ideal for 21:9 or 16:9 videos with the squarish resolution. I see it would be good for some things but watching video it's not making use of all the screen, No one is watching square videos anymore. They should reverse design it... making the inner screen the priority and giving it a media resolution.

How long do you get updates with it? For that price I'd expect a minimum of 5 years OS updates and 6 years of security updates.

I understand that they are soon launching the Magic OS 8 which should be more versatile, implementing also the Android 14 features and a lot more from Honor...so I think it's a "magic" deal to consider this phone

you forgot that the Honor is still running on Android 13 and an update to Android 14 is not planned until “from” summer 2024.
I prefer the Pixel Fold size easy to reach the buttons. Plus I still own my Z Fold 3 now 3 years old.
The first folding phone with the return of the SD card is going to make a LOT of money.

They will not bring back SD cards as they want you to pay for higher storage and cloud storage
Not really, you see Sony phones with SD card support but you don't see people rushing to buy them. As with the case with many other midranger phones.
SD card support, while I agree is a nice thing to have, is sadly no longer a feature that would drive sales sky high.

With internal pushing 256 GB and above (most flagship already use 512 GB as minimum and 1 TB for highest option), SD card becoming less important. The difference in performance between UFS and SD cards is huge. Their only use is for storing photos and music since they're too slow for 4K recordings and applications.

Are you guys even that delusional that in this era of technology that we still can make a bending screen without a crease??? But in the future when a company will make one we all gonna praise it for innovation?? these products walk so future foldable screen could run. And mind you as much as I love Samsung and still my favorite foldable phone (just because they have the best OS for it, Honor, Xiaomi, One+, etc make better foldable in terms of screen, functionality, CAMERAS,etc... Even at 1:16 at that angle, Zfold's crease would be noticeable but here It doesn't.

The speakers on the Samsung Fold 3 is a lot louder than the V2. And i like the secret folder better than the parallel space. Besides these two, the V2 is a lot better

Only issue with this phone is the software it runs, other than that it is the perfect form factor, I hope the Fold 6 comes close to this

I do agree the honor magic v2 porsche edition rsr and the Huawei mate x5, one plus open might be the best foldables ever w Xiaomi mix fold 3 .
This smartphone is released 6 months too late internationally.
People who are willing to put $1700-$2000 into a smartphone, are certainly people who value the specs, but also and above all the software, the software tracking, and a good warranty.
And I think that the leaks of the future Galaxy Fold 6 and Pixel Fold 2 with their design changes, and especially their 7 years of update, will lead many to wait to see what these smartphones will look like, not to mention the OnePlus Open which has positioned itself as a major competitor.
Time to upgrade my Fold 3. If Samsung disappoints me with their upcoming Fold 6, I guess this phone could be the next best alternative. I wish it had the latest CPU and wireless charging.

Nice phone. Several things not so good but the difference in price is crazy. 6 months ago this phone was launched in China for 8999 CNY. That's 1167€. Even with taxes this phone should not cost more than 1389 €. But honor ask for 2000€.

Microsoft Duo 2 has no crease with its dual screens, and the screen is not vinyl.
Since it’s so thin, they should make a double folding phone so it turns into a 16:10 aspect tablet

I bought one couple of daya ago and on T Mobile I am a happy user. It gives me 5G most of the time. This phone is really incredible. I am a smartphone geek and it is not easy to impress me.

The one thing Samsung never grasps; many of us would actually prefer a wider front screen to use as the primary screen, so we can open the folding screen only when necessary...
i returned my honor v2 because its too wide for one handed use when folded.

Good foldable design should not force you to always open the inner display. It should be an additional perk you use when YOU need like ANC on earbuds. Looks like they nailed the design. Software wise though i heard samsung and one plus are ahead on those fronts
