Man, seeing how fast things can go wrong really puts your driving abilities into perspective. Impressive how far you got against all those really destructive bots when one good hit can end the match!
Yeah, SSP is a very durable bot! If the video wasn't so long already I would have shown the final between Eruption and Caldera, Eruption was literally torn apart
I would love to see SSP with a flipper instead of just a lifter. You said it had weight to spare and planting horizontals into the wall above the floor is so satisfying
Hey, could you give us a little insight into your workflow when creating a new design, including explanations of the CAD processes? I also wanted to ask what CAD software you use to design the bots?
I use Fusion 360 cad for everything. There is a free version tho I pay for a commercial version with some extra features. For combat bots free is fine.
I have quite a few design overview videos explaining the overall design choices and why I made those. ruclips.net/video/KC8khRVT2-4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/RuC_q9_CEYQ/видео.html
I don’t think subtraction was there. Usually if Seth brings two or more bots to an event he’ll say something along the lines of “subscribe and hit the bell icon (which you should do anyways because even the event report videos are chalk full of useful information) to be notified when the subtraction video comes out”
Long story short some parts for Subtraction V3 didn't arrive in time and I was too worried about my only 2 chassis being destroyed before Teams. I decided to assemble the bot with a 3d printed lid and bring it just so I could drive it around a full size arena and maybe do a grudge match, and SSP for the main tournament. However when I actually did drive it around it was clear I had a lot more work to do before it was fight ready, so I never fought with it until NHRL the next week.
Two Teams are Conquering Toronto, It's going INSANE. SSP still got it and got better now. Death Muncher is a bit easy to fight as long as the spinner is not in full speed. Phantom 3 is not using the spinner at the beginning of the fight is concerning, but thing went CRAZY at the end. Caldera disables the lifter with one hit and was a bit anti-climatic, as I thought it will be full 3-minute fight 😞. Ipsiety looks more menacing than last year and the fight was more insane than before. Against PPK is a bit close and I have no idea who will win, but SSP won from the JD. Rematch against Caldera is going to be different this time, once again another intense close battle. SSP is been sent flying few times and still managed to keep on going and doesn't seem to stop. Overall, Good Job SSP as it done its best👍👍.

this was really cool to see in person, really learned a lot driving wise from your videos!
Glad to hear it!

Hi Seth, I got to see you and the other finalists compete on sunday, it was the first time I got to spectate combat robotics irl!
That's awesome!
I usually see 2 SSP kits at the events I go to that have beetles and they typically do very wello
Cool video!! I was wondering apart from motors, battery, driver, etc… where do I code how to actually move the robot? I am missing something 😅
The robots are radio controlled and driven by humans. There isn't really code needed though some people do end up adding autonomous control features

would you ever do a ssp kit that is only the electronics? maybe one with a servo and one without?
Already kind of did! justcuzrobotics.com/products/ssp-diy-edition-robot-kit
CNC machining services?
How did subtraction do?

What's with that horrid back ground music?
If you don't like rock music I can't really help you there lol. No matter what music I choose a few will complain, most seem to like it.
@@JustCuzRobotics I do like rock, just not videos with backing music. No need for it.
