What my bones know is my favourite book of this. Due to my experience in my life, I was very connected to it and this book actually affected me and helped me understand a lot that has happened to me and why I am who I am. ❤
I read classics a lot, and I personally found The Portrait of Dorian Gray hard to get through. It is very dense and monologue heavy. I would much more encourage you to read Frankenstein for the gothic Halloween vibes if you haven't read it yet. It's so vibrant, angry, and alive; I personally found it easy to read.
Here's what I read in September The outsider by Stephen king Tell me everything by minka Kelly memoir Someone else's shoes by jojo moyes Jane Eyre Dnf hyperion by Dan Simmons The plus one by mazzy enddings A billion years by mike rinder memoir One Italian summer by rebecca serle Sammy Espinosa last review Picture perfect boyfriend
I fully understand what you’re saying about classics. Frankenstein is the only classic I have enjoyed and I read it via audiobook but it took me 7 months to get through it 😅
I ended up doing a soft dnf for Good Bad Girl. I got into a reading slump and now I'm dealing with some pain so I don't feel like reading as much. I hope you feel better 💖
It isn't time to shun our lyre hearts; some instrument our former sculptures held. The strings that dried to rust cannot be plucked, their notes sublime as orbs the Hubble found. What gave our lyre hearts a rhythmic loop? No timeless hymn includes a break for ads; an anthem of thy 9 to 5 commute- -our chorus Freedom now much shorter lasts. Some sounds were meant for only you to make, and you remember what the lyre chirped. Confound we are with notes that Cupid played. No music ever pumped a finer course. Our strings we could’ve plucked on all along will rust because we're forced a different song.
October is my favorite month …. Not only is it my birthday month, it’s also spooky, pumpkin and chilly season!!! I cannot do classics …. I don’t enjoy the language or the writing styles .. I loved Blood Sugar !
hi Gabby! i noticed you didn’t mention angelman syndrome again when discussing Happiness Falls so i’m not sure if you just didn’t realize it was different from autism but it definitely is. i recommend looking into it especially if you’re going to be recommending the book because it helps make sense of why Eugene needs to work so hard to communicate with his family.
It confuses me so much how a 350-page book can be an audiobook anywhere from 10 to 14 hours. 😂 I guess it has to do with how dense the writing is, but that’s a huge variation in how long the audiobook can be!
Hi Gabby! If you enjoyed Our Dining Table, I recommend checking out The Two Lions by Nagisa Furuya. It's a one volume manga by the same author of My Summer of You. I read Our Dining Table and The Two Lions back to back and thought both were sweet, slowburn and wholesome stories :)
My favorite reads were Tell me everything by minka Kelly memoir I was absolutely hooked into this book if you are a fan of minka from the series Friday night lights or euphoria then read her memoir The plus one by mazzy enddings I absolutely love hate to love romance definitely one of my favorite romance novels of this year
I hadn't heard of Catherine House before and I'm just so baffled how that would even...start. Respectfully, if I were told I had to leave behind all of my personal possessions and not interact with the outside world for 3 years, I would simply assume that school was EXTREMELY sketch. r.i.p. to people who value academic prestige above common sense but im different.
@gabbyreads Our dining table!! What a fantastic recommendation. I picked it up today, and I need more pages. lol, this is so sweet, gentle, and wow, simply adorable. I loved how they all connected with each other and finding his comfort. Awesome suggestions! ❤️
I read 4 mangas, 4 physical book, 5 kindle reads The Promised Neverland vol 4 to 9 The only one left by riley sager gave this one 5 stars The quiet tenant by clemence michallon 4 stars Notes on a execution by danya kukafka 5 stars The inmate by freida mc fadden gave this one 2 stars bc the main character was just so naive and annoying n just felt like she made so many wrong choices Counting the cost by jill Duggar and this this book was 5 stars the amount of stuff she went through n the trama was absolutely crazy and if u seen the show u know like im still thinkin about this book bc of how fanthis book was And also i ordered love in focus and our dinner table sounds so cute thinkin about reading it on my kindle and right now im currently reading ward d n im like it so much better then the inmate
Sorry to hear you're learning the hard way the naked truth about international travel, tho from what I've heard it does get better as your body adjusts to it. Take care.
Absolutely so happy I stumbled upon your channel. I really only read thriller/mystery, but want to branch out a little. Ypur reccs are always the best!
I feel the same with classics, Gabby!! Even though I want to so bad, I usually just cannot with them either. . . Have you read Rebecca?! Trying to read that one this month 😬
So glad I’m not the only one who did not click with You, Again. Between the characters (esp the female MC) and the direct ripoff of Nora Ephron’s When Harry Met Sally (and not just a nod or two to the movie), it was my least favorite Book of the Month I’ve chosen.
No way! We’re here for the adventures of Gaby also! I love her videos - a bit of life, a bit of reality, and then the books that got her through it all ❤
It's so funny to me how Gaby in every other wrap up or tbr video, she can't believe is already the month of ______ or the end of the month of _______.
😂😂
If you didn’t know?😂
She has a valid reason though time is going by fast 😂
Hahaha oops 🫢 just genuinely shocked at how fast time is flying lol
22:33 Thank you Gabby! I feel the same way about The Picture Of Dorian Grey!
Fall is also my fav time of the year!! So ready for the spooky reads ❤
Best time of the year!!!!! Ready for cozy weather. 🎃
Yeah me too 😊

It's alive!! 😅
@@DarkTwistedReads hahaha didn't even mean to do that

Good morning Gabby happy Monday morning and happy fall day vlogs and I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
I fully understand what you’re saying about classics. Frankenstein is the only classic I have enjoyed and I read it via audiobook but it took me 7 months to get through it 😅
There's a live action adaptation of our dining table. It was cute too.
I ended up doing a soft dnf for Good Bad Girl. I got into a reading slump and now I'm dealing with some pain so I don't feel like reading as much. I hope you feel better 💖

October is my favorite month …. Not only is it my birthday month, it’s also spooky, pumpkin and chilly season!!! I cannot do classics …. I don’t enjoy the language or the writing styles .. I loved Blood Sugar !
I read 14 books! 😊 Cutting Teeth and Rouge are my favs ❤❤❤❤
Have you ever tried Little Women? I love it and remember it having a more readable style than most classics!
Second this!! I haaaaaaaated the picture of Dorian Gray, but I ADORE Little Women! Such an easier reading style, and more interesting imo too!
Yes!! Little Women is probably the only classic I’ve ever enjoyed 🥹🥰🫶🏻 Jo March is my freaking queen!!
@@gabbyreads she is such a queen ❤️

I’m not a classics girlie either. I like some younger audience classics like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Little Women, etc
It confuses me so much how a 350-page book can be an audiobook anywhere from 10 to 14 hours. 😂 I guess it has to do with how dense the writing is, but that’s a huge variation in how long the audiobook can be!
It’s so wild haha 😂🤯
I read 16 books! 12 Novels & 4 Manga. My favorites being Falling by T.J. Newman and Vinland Saga. 😁

Uh I'm not the only one who didn't love The Picture of Dorian Gray! I gave it 2 stars. But I love all of the other Oscar Wilde's books.
Oh no! I just bought What a Mother!

I got sick on the plane rides back from the Japan trip and have been sick ever since. It’s just some lingering cold for me too 😭
Aw that’s such a bummer I’m sorry to hear you’ve been sick since coming from home Japan too 😭🥲 hopefully we both starting feeling back to normal soon!
Your hair is so pretty!! ❤
Thank you!!

I read 4 mangas, 4 physical book, 5 kindle reads
The Promised Neverland vol 4 to 9
The only one left by riley sager gave this one 5 stars
The quiet tenant by clemence michallon 4 stars
Notes on a execution by danya kukafka 5 stars
The inmate by freida mc fadden gave this one 2 stars bc the main character was just so naive and annoying n just felt like she made so many wrong choices
Counting the cost by jill Duggar and this this book was 5 stars the amount of stuff she went through n the trama was absolutely crazy and if u seen the show u know like im still thinkin about this book bc of how fanthis book was
And also i ordered love in focus and our dinner table sounds so cute thinkin about reading it on my kindle and right now im currently reading ward d n im like it so much better then the inmate
Omg same, I DNFed You, Again around page 90 bc I could not stand the heroine's immaturity. I was so disappointed after paying for a copy from BOTM.
Sorry to hear you're learning the hard way the naked truth about international travel, tho from what I've heard it does get better as your body adjusts to it. Take care.
Hey i was wondering where do you listen to your audiobooks?
Absolutely so happy I stumbled upon your channel. I really only read thriller/mystery, but want to branch out a little. Ypur reccs are always the best!
Thanks so much!! 🥹💗
I recently bought a copy of Catherine house 👀
I feel the same with classics, Gabby!! Even though I want to so bad, I usually just cannot with them either. . . Have you read Rebecca?! Trying to read that one this month 😬
I second Rebecca as a fall recommendation! So deliciously creepy.
📚💕
The 1945 movie picture of dorian gray was good!
💜💜

if you love love triangles in manga, then read kiss him not me. it is the ultimate love triangle or dodecahadron.
Covid?
I think you waste too much time in the beginning of your videos
Waste too much time doing what? 😂
Gabby you’re doing fine👍🇨🇦I Enjoy your videos!
Keep up the good work!!
I agree just get to the point. Too much talking
No way! We’re here for the adventures of Gaby also! I love her videos - a bit of life, a bit of reality, and then the books that got her through it all ❤
