- The goal of this Wild Hearthstone Deathrattle Hunter OTK combo deck is to use Trampling Rhino combined with Enchanter! We do this by using Mystery Egg to obtain multiple zero mana copies of Trampling Rhino. Then, we play Enchanter and trade with the Rhinos for the OTK! Super fun meme deck! Good luck!
Thank you to @UltiKon for this deck idea!

How Enchanting! Remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video! Thanks so much for watching!
I don’t think that’s a bug. Since Velen stacks, Enchanter would double the damage taken from the rhino and then the damage gets doubled again by the second one. That minion is dealt that damage, which means the Rhino wording is true, excess goes face. Am I missing what makes it a bug?
edit: I guess it could be argued it’s not the Rhino “doing the excess damage” but I’m pretty sure enchanter is a shortcuted way of saying “minions take double damage from sources you control while it’s your turn”.
Yeah Velen’s and enchanter’s effect should be applied after the initial damage is dealt which means that the excess damage is based off of its attack and not effects that amplify damage
@@monstermasterv2Enchanter and Velen don’t do damage though, they modify damage taken from whatever source deals that damage (Damage = Damage x2). If I have spell damage+1 (Damage = Damage +1) and I Fireball a Soulbound Ashtongue, my opponent should take 7 and not 6, because the damage from Fireball has been modified, my spell damage minion doesn’t deal the 1 extra damage, the spell does.
hearthstone wording has always been pretty weird. just consider the wording of most battlecries, they make it sound like they command you, the player, to do something on the board, instead of explaining what the minion youre about to play will do.
@@LWVogt I’m talking about trampling rhino doing damage with a velen or enchanter on board. It goes: rhino attacks dealing its attack value first, then triggering the excess damage effect and lastly the damage amplification
@@monstermasterv2I am also talking about the Rhino dealing damage with Enchanter. Enchanter doesn’t deal 5 damage. The damage isn’t dealt in two steps - the Rhino doesn’t deal 5 and then Enchanter deals 5, just like how Fireball doesn’t deal 6 and Kobold Geomancer deals 1. Enchanter also doesn’t deal 6 when I Fireball a minion, Fireball deals 12. If I Fireball a Soulbound Ashtongue with an Enchanter out, my opponent takes 12 and not 6 or 6x2.
Basically, I’m pretty sure Enchanter’s text is a shorthand way of saying “Sources you control deal double damage to minions on your turn”, but simplified for normal gameplay. Which results in this being a potentially unexpected interaction, but not a bug.
If this is how it works with Rhino, I can’t wait to see what happens with the octopus masseuse in the newest set
new player: **plays casual to learn the game**
Mark: “it’s time for ur good hearthstone lessons!!”
Mark: **kills player turn 6 with a rhino combo**
Mark: **fortnite dances**
With the release of octo-masseuse, I wonder if it will be included in death hunter rexar pool with the small chance to get octo-trampling rhino
Trampling Rhino doesn't appear in either beast pool for deathstalker rexxar because one pool is keywords only and the other is text only. Rhino has both.
@@thetacoboat was today years old when i learned this, thanks for sharing the info man :D
@@joaopc94 I am doubtful that this is accurate. As far as I'm aware, the pools are cards with complex text and cards with only keywords or no text at all.
I'm not aware of any keyword restriction placed on the complex card pool
@@thetacoboati can now confirm you're wrong. Keywords are allowed in the text pool. Rhino, if it doesn't appear, is specifically excluded
Another great Mark video. Thank you so much for everything you do 😊 cant wait to see you hit 100k subs, so close!
Happy to help :)
This guy is everywhere.
9:40 You are all just doing it on purpose, I swear...
@@Nit_and_Nel lmao xD
It seems like it works as intended, not a bug. Enemy minions take double damage on your turn and after this minion attacks and kills a minion, excess damage hits the enemy hero.
We have tricks like this in magic the gathering and the rhino essentially has "gain trample if this would deal lethal damage to a minion." So if it hits for 5×2 (or 5×2×2) on a minion with less than 10 (or 20) toughness, you deal the excess to the player.
I'm expecting a similar OTK using Soulbound Ashtongue and Octo-masseuse next expansion...
Nice OTK! after 6 years I’ve settled on hunter being my favorite class.
ayo mark, thanks for the amazing combos has aways. Have all the cards for this one so i'll make sure to terrorize the guys in 4K legend with it 😈
Fun combo!
Well played
Cool desk
What is the bug? That's the right maths isn't it?
The effect of enchanter should apply after the excess damage is dealt but it’s applied before
The bug is in reference to that newly revealed card from the upcoming expansion Octo-Masseuse.
Developers stated that the cards effect of Octupling damage against minions, won't work with trample damage. Ergo, the same logic should be applied to Enchanter which provides the same "More damage against minions" effect.
Meaning that say a 5/5 Rhino hitting into a 0/2 Totem should only deal 3 damage to face, irregardless of how much damage it does to the Totem with Enchanter buffs.
That's a rude change
@@tarille1043 what a lame way of handling an interesting interaction
@@sandguymanit was either that or getting otkd by octo-masseuse + always a bigger jormungar every other game
I think it would be bugged if it said "twice as much" like bran
Im the 2nd dk 😢 damn i was just starstruck and tryna get an achievement
U can get achievements in casual?
@@StickEmUpHS no, i found out right after embarrassing myself
LOL
Coming from MtG, this doesn't feel like it would count as a bug there; your Rhino would be dealing 20 damage to a minion, so you just assign enough to kill the minion and the rest tramples over. If Hearthstone actually had a consistent rules document and wording like Magic does you'd probably be able to know if interactions are intended or not. :D
