Затем стачать боковые швы одним швом и основную ткань и подкладку, оставляя небольшой вход в подклад. Затем обработать низ жилета, вывернуть. За строчить вход в подкладку.
"борта и уток и проймы жилета". Что вы имеете ввиду под утком? Также, разве не надо заложить припуск на длину в подкладке, чтобы не она не затягивала изделие? Как это делают в жакетах.
I sew lining directly to the fabric for each individual piece then put everything altogether at the same time and sew top & sides but I leave the bottom open then I turn it inside out from the bottom and sew that closed. Simple

I copied a graduation cape once. It took me 3 hours to figure out how it had been sewn. It was quite ingenious how all the seams were machine stitched to the inside similar to this vest.

I learned to sew from My Grandpa who was a tailor and my Grandma who was a gown maker. I have sewn since i was 8yrs old, i had my own business making custom formals, including vest and NO way on Earthis this the correct. The neck like is where it should be turned from. I would have cried had i have had to sew vests like this.

Извините, а зачем вначале выворачивать через дырочку, если две проймы открыты? Также одну пройму можно удобно зашить через вторую, а не через дырочку.
I make tiny waistcoats for rabbits and mine are fully enclosed turning front through back and sewing backing hem .much less fiddly
