Enemies are incapable of attacking as long as they are suffering from the Burn status effect. It’s not just that they can’t attack, too, they can’t do anything - including open up if they are a Trashure. Burn is incredibly powerful, but it has its drawbacks.
I restarted this game so I could play along with the playthrough and I've already seen several Trashures with Burn open up. It does cure their burn though
@ Is it in that order, or are they cured of their burn and then they open up? There’s a chance for them to get cured every turn after they take damage.
22:45 I have now listened to this enough with headphones to finally realize that Bowser is yelling 'I RULE!' at the end of the level up bonus. Very fitting for him and his ego.
I was wondering if anyone else caught that. It’s a really good bit of sound design. The whole game is full of immaculate sound design. Even after years of not playing the game, I still remember all of the sound effects like it was yesterday.
If I recall, this area is a good grind spot for Mario and Luigi. If you let Bowser get hit by the sunflower seed, the seed has a chance to stay in the battlefield, allowing bowser to inhale them, giving Mario and Luigi the opportunity to fight a tough enemy (they normally shouldn't be fighting now) for good amount of exp.

And since the improbable is not impossible, it is actually very likely to hit the 80% chance of not getting the Coin Boots multiple times in a row for the same reason that you could potentially flip a coin 100 times and get heads all 100 times. On average over time, it's 20 and 50. It's also 20 and 50 each time. So, you're not guaranteed an item every 1-in-5 tries, or every other try respectively...that's just what's most likely to happen. I've always been taught that it's "more accurate" (not "correct", just less wrong) to calculate it as a multiplication of _inverses,_ of figuring out the odds of that "heads every time" and determining from that, the likelihood of "at least one" success. To explain for The Kids At Home, 50% chance is the easiest to calculate of course, 1 - (50% ^ 6) = 98% chance of "at least one" Coin Ring after six attempts. For the Coin Boots, multiply by the 80% chance of *_not_* getting it, 1 - (80% ^ 6) = 73% chance of "at least one" Coin Boots after six attempts. In general, 95% is the minimum target for "pretty good odds" of succeeding at least once, meaning five King Lakitus must be dethroned to ensure a Gold Ring, or a whopping *_fourteen_* of them for a Gold Boots. And, this last number is one I've pulled out of my own Rump Command, but if you've gone fifty percent past the "expected" number (eight without a Gold Ring, 21 without a Gold Boots), only _then_ can you start to call Shenanigans on the odds being broken. Going that many without a single win isn't _impossible,_ just "very very improbable" enough that something could be suspicious...

His voice for Broque Monsieur is starting to remind me of Rabbid Mario’s voice from Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope where unlike in Kingdom Battle, the rabbid characters speak in full sentences and have distinct voices. Listen for it in the Shop Block Conversation and see if you agree.
I must reiterate how satisfyingly POWERFUL Bowser feels in this game, with his animations in battle being what they are. They really sell him as this powerful beastly bruiser.
First time watching an LP as its being uploaded. You helped me out when I was 9 and didn't know how to get through TTYD, but now I get to sit back and watch you entertain me with one of my favorite games ever. Thanks for the content!
When I played this game as a kid I never encountered the king Lakitu's. My first time seeing them was recently when I started playing again because of the LP and I could not understand why they are rare despite not giving much exp, nice to know they drop money related items!
Been loving the series Chugga! Always good to see you sharing tidbits on games, the little secrets and background info I wouldn't have known before! Much respect for your research
I can’t explain how much I love these videos. After all these years, they still maintain the charm and comedy they had when I used to watch them when I was younger. Thank you so much Chugga
Okay I am genuinely positively surprised by the whole "negative ion" restoring HP/SP thing. Shockingly based on how they work in real life, well done writers
Since your Koopa Shell video, I've been periodically trying it myself. And today I finally got it!! It helped to listen to your's and Tim's videos. Something about dividing my attention in two, using my ears and my mind to listen to you explain PMD to Tim, and using my eyes and my hands to kick the shell, let me really lock in. Yay!
Chugga, please, for the life of you, PLEASE press X AND Y when inhaling as Bowser. It makes his Inhale much stronger. I feel like you weren't trying with the Flowers but in case you weren't, this is a tip.
I love the intro “That’s me your probably wondering how I got myself into this situation? (Camera rewind noises) well, it all started when I inhaled a couple plumbers.
Also enemies like King Lakitu are a trope in RPGs. If they're this generous and exploitable, they will try to escape even if it's a game mechanic here.
In the future, you can cancel running away to skip a turn. If you're fast enough, you won't lose any money. Don't think you can do this in the remake if running away works like it does in Dream Team.
18:51 I can’t remember whether it was a king or a Prime Minister but the Dutch have the unique honour of saying that they ate at least one of them a few hundred years back
I remember trying to avoid the Flifits, because I was so scared of them for hitting hard and attacking fast. Speaking of which, there's this thing about the Flifits that no many people seem to know about. If at least one Flifit is destroyed when there are multiple, and they successfully hit you, you may be left with a small enemy on field call the Sneed. And yes, they can be inhaled.
2:36 enemies can actually be weak to jumping as well, that might not sound like a lot but it can make some battle go faster and a certain few bros attack do have jump attributes to them, there are also those enemies restiant to fire damage
I don’t believe that is the case in this game (enemies being weak to jump, that is). I believe Dream Team was the first game in the series to have certain enemies take critical hits from jump attacks.
@NerdyChocolateLabradoodle that might be the case actually, it has been a very long time since I played the original and I might have it confused with the remake
@@Arceus086 Considering the Superstar Saga remake added even more weaknesses and resistances that weren’t in the original game (specifically pertaining to jump and hammer attacks), I wouldn’t put it behind the Bowser’s Inside Story remake to do the same thing.
Something cool I found out recently in game is that for Bowser's Inhalation, you can mash both X and Y to inhale things basically instantly. I didn't know that the Y button also functioned as an inhalation trigger since it doesn't say anywhere that it does work.
Yeah, last time Mario and Luigi went to the rear and said "Magic Adrenometer, Make our Bowser GROW!" 7:46 - You certainly did, Human Sans. 14:20 - Yeah, Bowser is an Anti-Villain in this. 16:15 - Now worth a lot to Sonic (he collects them all the time) 17:40 - I didn't know that you were THAT bored.
I'm stuck on a really hard boss fight on Brothership, and I'm gonna use this video to cope while I intentionally get enough game overs to turn on easy/"you suck" mode, so I can go back to having fun with the game.
Anti heroes and villains are a necessity in writing. Sometimes they’re Bowser, other times they put things into perspective such as how the hero might be fighting for the wrong side.
03:00 Their name is Sneed, which is really funny. 05:09 In the Superstar Saga Speedrun, they do actually start levelling Stache instead of POW at some point, because POW stops mattering and Stache affects how many Mushrooms you can buy for the Mush Badge. 06:26 Because the Burn Status makes enemies unable to attack in this game. That's why bosses are immune to it, as we saw with Durmite. 10:40 Maybe you should rather use the sweat in Toad Square. 11:38 There we go. :D 13:28 Gear shops for Mario & Luigi never get new stuff in this game. The only time you get new equipment to buy for the bros is when you unlock a new shop. 14:58 I've said it before, but you can mash both the X and Y buttons to vacuum, effectively doubling your inputs to increase effectiveness. 18:56 Maybe that's what they mean by "eat the rich".
After our death experience, we arrive at Bumpsy Plains, which is just a transitional area from Dimble Wood to Bowser Castle. As a result, it’s pretty insignificant, but at least it has the Lakitu King to hunt for and some very pleasant music
1. Gotta love that the videos description has a link to the last LP playlist instead of this game 😂 2. would have been quicker for him to press the run block and then immediately press L to stall turns
hey chuggaa idk if you knew this already but if you ever have trouble with bowsers regular attacks. There's a brief moment when he's inhaling for fire, he'll clench his fists right before he starts coughing to show the missed timing, the perfect is a small window there. Same thing when punching I look at his foot that he's raising when winding up.
I actually never knew those King Latiku enemies existed until I replayed the game a few days ago. On a side note, something I’m potentially trying to do is see how many of the Mario and Luigi games I can complete before Chugga finishes this lp. I’m currently in the last area of Bowser’s Inside Story and I started about 4-5 days ago. I’ll see if I can also get through Partners in Time and Superstar Saga before the lp finishes as well.
To answer your question about kings: Yes'nt. After King Louis XIV died in 1715, William Buckhand, the Dean of Westminister, ate a segment of his heart.
You wanna talk about bad Mario and Luigi players? When I saw a Lakitu King appear on the top screen, I didn't think anything of it and let them be during my first playthrough. It wasn't until a third of a way through my playthrough that I realized I can suck up enemies that appear on the top screen.
18:50 people use to eat the ashes of mummies during medival Europe (don't remember why but it was a very common practice amongst the upper class at the time). I'm sure some of those belonged to pharaohs.
What a weird coincidence that this is called Easy Money. I've been rewatching Scykoh's Minish Cap LP since this has started and the video I watched today was get rich quick. Two videos about money today.
13:45 Item drop rarities are cumulative in PiT and BIS, actually; Lakitu Kings drop items 50% of the time, and 20% of those are their rarer drop (Coin Boots).
Here’s a tip for help with inhaling: the y button also counts for it but the game never tells you it. Mashing both makes inhaling things significantly easier. I did everything with this game growing up and learning that helped tremendously
A cool detail about this game: The area you see when Mario and Luigi fight an inhaled enemy can change! Currently, the blue room with a pink floor serves as the default background when the Bros are in areas where there are no fights, such as the Gut Check or the Arm Center. However, if the Bros are in an area where they can fight enemies, like the Trash Pit or the Pump Works, the background corresponds to that area.
Another fun thing about Bowser is he has the stat spread of a boss, too. High HP but volatile HP, monstrous attack power, sturdy but not insurmountable defense, and dismal speed. It's the kind of performance you expect from the enemies the bros face. It doesn't quite erase the health/damage asymmetry typical of RPGs, but it makes his numbers gameplay feel different to the bros.

-Equips the item that raises enemy stats
-Complains that the enemies are too bulky
Never change, Emile
His voice for Broque Monsieur is starting to remind me of Rabbid Mario’s voice from Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope where unlike in Kingdom Battle, the rabbid characters speak in full sentences and have distinct voices. Listen for it in the Shop Block Conversation and see if you agree.
I love Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Such a great and memorable game.
Right! Left! Yellow!
That intro Emile 😂
I can see Bowser monolog to the audience.
*monologue

i mean it is the rump command
Quoting nonsense is all people like you know how to do, apparently. Sad.
@@LuznoLindo you must be fun at parties
6:24 Burn outright prevents its victims from attacking, Emile.
I had to watch a tutorial to watch this video
Help I need a tutorial on how to make a proper comment.

Me when I look up “how to watch Easy Money - Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Insides Story [11]”
@@SuperSaiyanDCGhuagggggg
I must reiterate how satisfyingly POWERFUL Bowser feels in this game, with his animations in battle being what they are. They really sell him as this powerful beastly bruiser.
First time watching an LP as its being uploaded. You helped me out when I was 9 and didn't know how to get through TTYD, but now I get to sit back and watch you entertain me with one of my favorite games ever. Thanks for the content!
King Lakitu: Well, hello there. How could I be of assistance peasants.
Mario & Luigi: Fatten our wallets!
"Gimmie ur Money"
When I played this game as a kid I never encountered the king Lakitu's.
My first time seeing them was recently when I started playing again because of the LP and I could not understand why they are rare despite not giving much exp, nice to know they drop money related items!
Been loving the series Chugga! Always good to see you sharing tidbits on games, the little secrets and background info I wouldn't have known before! Much respect for your research
I can’t explain how much I love these videos. After all these years, they still maintain the charm and comedy they had when I used to watch them when I was younger. Thank you so much Chugga
I can tell this is gonna be a good episode featuring all the enemies and local wildlife.
Me: My mind is way too active, how am I ever going to get to sleep?
The dependable white noise machine: 20:08
This made me laugh way too much and now it's gonna be keeping me up tonight
Okay I am genuinely positively surprised by the whole "negative ion" restoring HP/SP thing. Shockingly based on how they work in real life, well done writers
What, no, it's pseudoscience.
I love the intro
“That’s me your probably wondering how I got myself into this situation? (Camera rewind noises) well, it all started when I inhaled a couple plumbers.
"Did I not know because I've been absurdly lucky my whole life?"
And this is what we call a rhetorical question.
23:12 Bowser finally made it back to his turf.
Wtf how'd you watch the full video after 1 minute???
@@alec3000 i just wanted to do did since my mind say he will made it back to his turf thius episode and
9:17 “no he got away, I didn’t know he could do that” pretty sure all enemies that bowser can inhale have a chance to escape after a little while
Also enemies like King Lakitu are a trope in RPGs. If they're this generous and exploitable, they will try to escape even if it's a game mechanic here.
“My own ass is a shop!”
-ChuggaConroy
Sneeds are also worth 100 EXP, which is a lot for a non-boss enemy this early in the game.
4:01 It’s _”D’oh, I missed!”_ remember?
I had a feeling somebody would reference that when I heard that in this video.
D'oh, he missed the opportunity
16:39 "My own ass is a shop!" ~Chuggaconroy, 2024.
Le dumpy
“We grew in size from outside our anus!”
*add that to the Chuggaconroy Out of Context.*
Same with "MY OWN ASS IS A SHOP!!!!"
"Chugga, I been feeling down lately, what do you think should I do?"
Chugga: 5:36
22:50 This line would have been a part of earlier this years' "Chugga quotes that have not aged well" compilations.
"I became a hole in the ground!" So Grunty? :D
Aw yeah, Bowser Castle time, baby! I’ve always loved what they did with it!
Well not a king but the dutch have eaten their prime minister if im correct
Let's go!!! So excited for this one! After the events of last episode, this should be awesome!!
Cool thing to note: You can press y as well as x to vacuum better. That'll make later fights much better
Something cool I found out recently in game is that for Bowser's Inhalation, you can mash both X and Y to inhale things basically instantly. I didn't know that the Y button also functioned as an inhalation trigger since it doesn't say anywhere that it does work.
Never met those Lakitu guys, glad I learned something today
5:12 To quote Tim “Five times in a row, maaaaan?”
i try to get an equipment piece but the coins drip down the left side of my faccccccceeeeee
Yeah, last time Mario and Luigi went to the rear and said "Magic Adrenometer, Make our Bowser GROW!"
7:46 - You certainly did, Human Sans.
14:20 - Yeah, Bowser is an Anti-Villain in this.
16:15 - Now worth a lot to Sonic (he collects them all the time)
17:40 - I didn't know that you were THAT bored.
Wait, the opening made me realize that the banzai bill cannon just poofed after the castle fell on them lol.
I'm stuck on a really hard boss fight on Brothership, and I'm gonna use this video to cope while I intentionally get enough game overs to turn on easy/"you suck" mode, so I can go back to having fun with the game.
Chugga. Blittys are 1 per enemy type. There will always be a blitty when you encounter a new enemy.
10:45 I swear I always thought he said "Chow Time!"
Anti heroes and villains are a necessity in writing. Sometimes they’re Bowser, other times they put things into perspective such as how the hero might be fighting for the wrong side.
12:18
-Chugga after realizing he wasted every single level from Superstar Saga and PiT
13:28 Gear shops for Mario & Luigi never get new stuff in this game.
I never noticed that until now. Don't really understand why he doesn't have both.
hey chuggaa idk if you knew this already but if you ever have trouble with bowsers regular attacks.
There's a lot of phrases that can be taken out of context and I love it
That’s like my thing!
@@chugga hi
To answer your question about kings: Yes'nt. After King Louis XIV died in 1715, William Buckhand, the Dean of Westminister, ate a segment of his heart.
Bowser's finally home!
Can't believe that Bowser Inside Story takes place on the Bionis' shoulder (check the description).
Mario and Luigi travelling inside Bowser, who's travelling on Bionis...
Nice layers here.
The rare enemies in this game are the best!
You wanna talk about bad Mario and Luigi players? When I saw a Lakitu King appear on the top screen, I didn't think anything of it and let them be during my first playthrough. It wasn't until a third of a way through my playthrough that I realized I can suck up enemies that appear on the top screen.
First dabbing in SMG2, and now that opening? Of course.
22:28 Bowsy-Wowsy
1:47 At least the music is nice. I honestly could see myself sleeping to this music, in fact, I HAVE.
18:50 people use to eat the ashes of mummies during medival Europe (don't remember why but it was a very common practice amongst the upper class at the time). I'm sure some of those belonged to pharaohs.
11:24 I like the small detail that the Flifit doesnt get sent flying backwards by the punch because its rooted into the ground
What a weird coincidence that this is called Easy Money. I've been rewatching Scykoh's Minish Cap LP since this has started and the video I watched today was get rich quick. Two videos about money today.
This is the light of my day getting to see my favorite RUclipsr from my childhood.
15:12 Really Chugga, you didn't notice that one. "INSIDE joke" in Bowser's INSIDE story Hahahaha
My only problem with this LP so far...is that i have to wait for more videos :( I'm so used to having the entire playlist lol.
15:10 - 15:32 Actually Rare does this many times since they’re aware of their Donkey Kong games being needlessly difficult.
Did not expect Chuggaa to pull the classic "yup, that's me, you're probably wondering how I got into this next"
13:45 Item drop rarities are cumulative in PiT and BIS, actually; Lakitu Kings drop items 50% of the time, and 20% of those are their rarer drop (Coin Boots).
18:51 I mean, they say eat the rich...
I like how Bowser running from a fight is just him walking away like it's not worth the trouble
Here’s a tip for help with inhaling: the y button also counts for it but the game never tells you it. Mashing both makes inhaling things significantly easier. I did everything with this game growing up and learning that helped tremendously
A cool detail about this game:
The area you see when Mario and Luigi fight an inhaled enemy can change! Currently, the blue room with a pink floor serves as the default background when the Bros are in areas where there are no fights, such as the Gut Check or the Arm Center. However, if the Bros are in an area where they can fight enemies, like the Trash Pit or the Pump Works, the background corresponds to that area.
Bumpsy Plains theme is really bumping 🎶
Another fun thing about Bowser is he has the stat spread of a boss, too. High HP but volatile HP, monstrous attack power, sturdy but not insurmountable defense, and dismal speed. It's the kind of performance you expect from the enemies the bros face. It doesn't quite erase the health/damage asymmetry typical of RPGs, but it makes his numbers gameplay feel different to the bros.
