As someone who forgot about hytale since the original reveal the video still managed to keep me engaged. The amount of work that was put into this video is astounding I sincerely hope this video gets seen by more people.
Voice chat is definitely something I want, as I have a few friends who play on consoles and wouldnt be able to communicate otherwise. Also video is peak, great job ❤
I'm 100% convinced. The key word here is IMMERSIVENESS. With the power of the Great Proximity Chat, everybody could have an even more special moment in Hytale. Imagine this scenario: you and your friends are exploring Z4 Caves, you hear some footsteps... a loud roar... than you see your friend running from a dinnosour yelling for help (like that meme with running ducks). Moments like this tiny example make memories for all of those involved that are very very important in the long run. Great video, great art, script, everything! Congrats to yall! Love this, I haven't heard anything about this game in such a long time but am still hyped for it and want to see it done well and right. I approve of voice chat adding so much value and experience to multiplayer games.
I like proxy chat in games so I went in this expecting to agree and for the most part I do but I'm gonna be honest, I will never use a digital non government service that requires my ID with very rare exceptions like accountants to handle taxes. I understand keeping kids safe but its not like lethal company requires an ID to play online. An 18+ server requiring ID is already weird IMO but I can accept it since I can just not play that server but requiring it to use proxy chat for everything would suck and just make me not use that feature assuming its optional and just not play the game if it isn't optional. Other than that I enjoyed the video and hope more people see it!
Yeah, many players will have reservations against using online verification services, but I think it's the only way you could have it in "official" servers. Private servers shouldn't be moderated at all.
I don't know why this was in my recommendations but awesome video I'm disabled (low functioning autistic in terms of socialization) so I won't be able to use the voice chat but I agree
Thank you so much! I would imagine a game environment could make it more comfortable for some on the spectrum to socialize, could be an interesting point to focus on if I ever make another hour long video essay on the subject (I probably won't haha)
