That GP9 or whatever it was, just chugging along, getting it done. Love the sound of SD40-2s. Especially accelerating and decelerating.
My husband worked this run as a conductor, during these years!! He loved it.
Wonderful editing here. I like how it's just one train, after another flashing forth. And those dragster-like SD40-2s look great in that Chicago and Northwestern paint.
Never liked the Zito Yellow.

Liked their deep yellow scheme best. Too bad their Office Train F units were done away with. I think some may be running on tourist lines.
CNW 6847, shown here at 2:35, has recently been unpatched and returned to CNW paint scheme at the Illinois Railway Museum.

I miss when GE didn't over run EVERY railroad in the US
