Roger, about the stuff of "They will never meet" or "They will meet for sure", please remember of Fishman Island. When the Sea Kings are talking to each other on Gol D Roger's flashback, they say that "their sovereign will finally meet each other". And there is Madam Shyarly that predicts that Luffy will destroy the island just like Nika will lead the world to its end in the third era.

It's just an amazing story arc which has one of the greatest pay-offs in the story, and that would still be my (and many others') opinion even if we hadn't kept getting connections to it all these years later. what a legendary chapter. 1000+ chapter to make this mural. Some anime/manga only has world building. Goda, Created a world, 3 times already, and without a doubt, every single destruction from the first war to the present he has that story. This is not a story anymore. This is an epic in modern times and we are blessed to be in Oda’s timeline. If the final war will be the war of the races, it is really astonishing that Luffy’s Grand Fleet has so much different races including the long arm long leg tribes and I can’t wait to see how Luffy rallies all of the races behind him vs Imu and also the old Yonkous really tried to be the Pirate King (or Joyboy) Kaido - wants to inatigate the greatest war in the world, which is the 3rd war BM - Wants all the races, maybe he also had the glimpse of this mural while in Elbaf or something Whitebeard - did not do anything because Roger said to him none of them will be the next Joyboy
A point with the text that I haven't seen anyone talk about. It implies there was an ancient kingdom/ruling society in the first world. Back in Egghead, Vegapunk admits that all of his technological discoveries were just recreations of tech from the Ancient Kingdom. But the text implies that the Ancient Kingdom was of the second world and were recreating the tech of the first world themselves. It's technological ouroboros! The big point with all of that, is that the mystery of the One Piece. If Vegapunk was recreating Ancient Tech, and the Ancient Kingdom was recreating First World Tech... What if the central piece of the One Piece is a piece of First World Tech waiting for someone who can properly use it. Specifically, what if that tech was the true form of Mother Flame, Nuclear Power, a power source that can make anyone's dreams come true because it can be used to do great good and great evil.

Im sure its said during the stream. But I believe the mural (especially the war side) not only depicts the future, but the past as well all at the same time. I believe the mural was based visually off of the war that JoyBoy lost to Imu. Emmet was in his prime. We have an ancestor of Loki. The whale could be an ancestor of laboon or even be tied to the tree on zou. Lunarians before genocide, etc etc. Who knows, maybe this is the third time the war is about to happen to decide the world. Only this time, Nika prevails. We already knew a giant war was coming, Odas said it repeatedly lol. Oda is giving us more than foreshadowing, hes showing us the past at the same time. My prediction is that we get the final war and the void war flash back at the same time. They cut back and forth between past and present day. So we can see just how similar times were. With the only difference being, Luffy wins where Joyboy Lost.
I think the late King of Elbaf broke his horns and wanted peace to be on the good side of Imu and allowed them to create the magic circle. Loki realized the King was selling out his people and pacifying his people to not be a threat and so they’d be easier to subjugated which is why Loki killed him. Shamrock said they should go after the children bc it’s harder to change the narrative than it is to create a new one with the youth. It’s easier to rewrite history when nobody remembers the past
I’m not sure how I feel about the Gorosei being followers of Joyboy theory, but if true, it could explain the meaning of the symbol on Nika’s shield in the mural. There are 8 planets (not including Pluto), which could be the 8 circles surrounding the big circle, which is the sun.
In the mural the characters, offering up their prayers (the stars) really reminds me of the Whole Cake Island inhabitants offering their souls. I wonder if Big Mom (also grew up on Elbaf and knew these stories) was trying to artificially create herself into Nika / a sun god. Her dream to have all races join her crew. But flawed because of her greed
A point I think Roger brings up that is probably correct is the drawings are more then likely the best the giants could make after the devastating loss from/during the void century. I would argue that their giants turning into a warrior culture happened after the fall of the first world and during the start of the 2nd resulting in few if any giants writing down their/the worlds history and it was left up to the book and this sole mural to pass it down, resulting in such varied interpretations of Nika

So I have this theory that the left part of the mural isn’t a prophecy but more a drawing based on the story someone told that was actually there. So somebody has the opposite of Tokis DF and travels constantly back in time. This theory is based on the fact that there are some characters that resemble Luffies crew and allies too much. Arguably it’s reasonable that somebody would know about Yamatos fruit and that that deity would appear in the last war, but underneath the giant in the front, in the boat, there is one person with a giant crosssword, which can be for me only mihawk.
Pretty sure this is just the first and second world, and the tree splits the image. How would anyone know what to depict for the third age? Saul very specifically says the texts are loosely written and left to interpretation. That's Joyboy fighting Imu on the right. That's why Emmett is there. And I'll bet money that the Loki looking one is actually Zunisha, and an ancient giant (hence the massive size)

@ it’s still too early to tell. If we’re in end game I suspect this is potentially the second to last arc to allow all the straw hats to have power up’s before the final war/ragnarok whatever way Oda is gonna spin. Zoro def needs a better dub against an opponent than just king.
Shanks is confirmed to know about his Celestial Dragon heritage, which is really interesting. I suspect he went to Marie Geosie after Roger died but before he started the Red-Haired Pirates, and what made Shanks cry in his private talk with Roger was Roger telling Shanks he was a celestial dragon. The mural is gorgeous. I still can’t tell if it’s one image or a triptych. This will be picked to bits. I see samurai, Minks, giants, ancient giants, dwarves, Imu, the Five Elders, Luffy, Emet, Kuma and Bonney, Shirahoshi, Ark Maxim, the Noah, Zunisha, and the giant serpent from Skypiea. I need to spend more time with it to identify everything else. But seriously, 1138 is going to become shorthand in the community for greatness.
I doubt a young kid shanks went alone there because how he d do that... And even if he managed to do it somehow,there s no way they d let him leave. He might have been there after he became a yonko or at least when he was strong.

This chapter was awesome!!! Imu's mural on the last page literally looks like the silhouette when Imu stopped Sabo's attack in the episode. The arc maxim is going to come cause it was shown on the mural, which means Eneru is coming back. And then the Shanks thing at the start, when Shamrock said Shanks returned to the holy land, it must have been after Gol D. Rogers death, I wonder if he got some intel on Luffys fruit before leaving the holy land to stop the government from getting it. But that mural is next level hypeness!!
The silhouette you said, isn't this one though. You mean when imu ate Sabos flames right?? If you check again,imu turned into something like a dragon with a jaw, which is like the dragon in the mural.

And for the Zuneisha theory, it could be what Franky is blocking the view of the island that is Zuneisha, which is wild to think about, because that would mean the devil fruit tree was on zuneisha at one point. Fans might be coping on that.

Imu being the riain god and has a connection to Lily. Crocodile stole the rain from Alabasta. I just find it interesting that Alabasta had so much plot around water and it not being there, if Imu is a sea god and Lily had history with him. It's ironic that it is a desert country.
I just want to leave it here and hope someone notices. Look at one piece chapter 59 cover page and you'll see the halfmoon and a lion dreaming fighting a demon or a dragon. Also there's an owl on the tree.
My theorized take on the mural with the combined thoughts & theories of the community. First World: I believe "forbidden sun" is what the the Mother Flame was based on, and the original flame is a representation of the soul of Mother Earth aka the breath of creation not just an energy source. It could be the means which created the Sun God and the manifestation of people's desire that created people with unnatural powers as explained by Vegapunk (Ch.1069). The Earth God could have been represented by the king of the giants, specifically Ancient Giants aka “Continent Pullers,” and the serpent of hellfire in could be a version of Jormungandr (this could be Loki’s devil fruit) from Norse mythology. Elbaf home of the giants is also called Warland, the birthplace of war in one translation of Ch. 1130. So the warring race of giants “shrouded the world in death and darkness.” Second World: I believe Imu represents the Forest God. The Forest God tamed demons (people with unnatrual powers), which could be interpreted as enslavement. Control over demons also matches Imu's seeming abilities w/ the gorosei. It could also be an explanation to trap the will of demons into devil fruits, and Imu likely used these people to fight the uprising of the Sun God. The Forest God also matches his aesthetic displayed in the manga and anime. As for the Sea God, I believe the predecessor to Monkey D Dragon represents the Sea God. "Stormed" key word in the chapter I believe this has literal and figurative meaning, and its literal meaning matches with Dragon's theorized abilities. So when mankind killed the sun and became god (celestial dragons), this angered the sea god cursing the demons... aka devils, thus cursing devil fruit users. I think with the many parallels in the story, it also aligns with what Imu and Dragon represent. The Forest God seemingly wants control, the Sea God seemingly wants freedom like the Sun God. It has been stated many times in the story the sea represents freedom. Imu and the celestial dragons want total control, Dragon and the revolutionaries want freedom. A quote from Admiral Ryokugyu talking about his devil fruit power hints that the forest has the ability to rival the seas (Ch 1054); this could have a double meaning. The D. Clan are the remnants of the people of the half moon, and the people of the moon are likely the many tribes, races and nations that also aligned with Joyboy. (Kozuki of Wano, Minks, Lunarians, etc.) Third World: Most of it is already explained that it is all the races aligning together with Luffy to fight Imu and the celestial dragons/god knights. The official translation also has the column of text displayed in the Second World split differently than the First and the Third. Most of the textual information shown having direct relation that specific page of the manga panel pertaining to the mural.
what i understand is, the rigth side of the mural is the 1st World and the left side of the mural is the 2nd World and the 1138 chapters of the series is the 3rd World. Thats what I think

I think the straw hats are depicted in the mural. At least i think luffy zoro and sanji are. For the longest time we have known that the monster trio turned into the wings of the pirate king. I think that zoro is depicted as the sword that nika is holding in the mural and the shield is sanji. The robot actually being general franky and then the rest of the humans in the mural being the strawhats

Dragon might be the god of rain. The god of the sea is the man marked by flames. Loki is the earth god. But yet i still wonder how the Shandorians fit into this cause they have a giant snake god
while the third world is the future, the left side did happen during joyboys time and the individual races and parties that allied with joyboy are the same races that joined with luffy. so to put it simply the mural is 1st world right side, 2nd world left side, 3rd world is a mixture of both. thats makes it pretty easy to pull info from both sides without feeling constricted
although one thing i think is obvious to state for every theory would be that the right side is more prodominatley the first world leading into the second world

Full theory: Imu was the first sun god from the first world realm. It was a time of war and conflict. Imu was a slave. Nevertheless Imu wanted the world. That desire angered the of the time gods. Imu then stole the sun and founded the ancient kingdom. Using the sun the ancient kingdom created the 3 weapons and devil fruits. Through sacrifice and slavery they were made. By creating devil fruits desires can be reincarnated therefore people can be revived their will. Defying death Imu would been known as a liberator. However the ancient kingdom was a brutal and subjugated all they came across, much like Mariejois. Some time pass and the second sun god was born “joyboy”. Dissatisfied with the current state of the world joyboy band together an army and fought against Imu. At this time the time of the first world is forgotten. The epic battle resulted in the sun being destroyed or weaken. And devil fruits spread through out the world. This battle reshaped the world. But joyboy was defeated and imu cursed all with devil fruits and ascended all his followers to godhood.
Next to whale and top of emeth is the shandoran chief with the red pelt. Also right of the tree ppl think zou, i think it also reps the wano volcano and people making the poneglyphs with their desires, souls, voices. And looks could be powered by the arc maxim, maybe momo could do it but what if on moon enel sees his own mural and history and joins the cresent moon clan

The passages of the Harley combined with the mural was one of the greatest panels of One Piece, I know it'll probably be some time before we get full answers on what it means, but this is perhaps the best teaser trailer for the ending and unsolved mysteries we could have gotten.

Goda, Created a world, 3 times already, and without a doubt, every single destruction from the first war to the present he has that story. This is not a story anymore. This is an epic in modern times and we are blessed to be in Oda’s timeline.
If the final war will be the war of the races, it is really astonishing that Luffy’s Grand Fleet has so much different races including the long arm long leg tribes and I can’t wait to see how Luffy rallies all of the races behind him vs Imu

A point with the text that I haven't seen anyone talk about. It implies there was an ancient kingdom/ruling society in the first world. Back in Egghead, Vegapunk admits that all of his technological discoveries were just recreations of tech from the Ancient Kingdom. But the text implies that the Ancient Kingdom was of the second world and were recreating the tech of the first world themselves. It's technological ouroboros!
The big point with all of that, is that the mystery of the One Piece. If Vegapunk was recreating Ancient Tech, and the Ancient Kingdom was recreating First World Tech... What if the central piece of the One Piece is a piece of First World Tech waiting for someone who can properly use it. Specifically, what if that tech was the true form of Mother Flame, Nuclear Power, a power source that can make anyone's dreams come true because it can be used to do great good and great evil.

There were 20 kingdoms, in the first world it shows 19 kingdoms paying resources for their safety, just like WG takes resources now for protection the one who is taking payment is the 20th kingdom who has something powerful to rule over others.

I think the late King of Elbaf broke his horns and wanted peace to be on the good side of Imu and allowed them to create the magic circle.
Loki realized the King was selling out his people and pacifying his people to not be a threat and so they’d be easier to subjugated which is why Loki killed him.

I’m not sure how I feel about the Gorosei being followers of Joyboy theory, but if true, it could explain the meaning of the symbol on Nika’s shield in the mural. There are 8 planets (not including Pluto), which could be the 8 circles surrounding the big circle, which is the sun.
In the mural the characters, offering up their prayers (the stars) really reminds me of the Whole Cake Island inhabitants offering their souls. I wonder if Big Mom (also grew up on Elbaf and knew these stories) was trying to artificially create herself into Nika / a sun god. Her dream to have all races join her crew. A point I think Roger brings up that is probably correct is the drawings are more then likely the best the giants could make after the devastating loss from/during the void century. I would argue that their giants turning into a warrior culture happened after the fall of the first world and during the start of the 2nd resulting in few if any giants writing down their/the worlds history and it was left up to the book and this sole mural to pass it down, resulting in such varied interpretations of Nika

So I have this theory that the left part of the mural isn’t a prophecy but more a drawing based on the story someone told that was actually there. So somebody has the opposite of Tokis DF and travels constantly back in time. This theory is based on the fact that there are some characters that resemble Luffies crew and allies too much. Arguably it’s reasonable that somebody would know about Yamatos fruit and that that deity would appear in the last war, but underneath the giant in the front, in the boat, there is one person with a giant crosssword, which can be for me only mihawk.

Saul very specifically says the texts are loosely written and left to interpretation. That's Joyboy fighting Imu on the right. That's why Emmett is there. And I'll bet money that the Loki looking one is actually Zunisha, and an ancient giant (hence the massive size)

Shanks is confirmed to know about his Celestial Dragon heritage, which is really interesting. I suspect he went to Marie Geosie after Roger died but before he started the Red-Haired Pirates, and what made Shanks cry in his private talk with Roger was Roger telling Shanks he was a celestial dragon. The mural is gorgeous. I still can’t tell if it’s one image or a triptych. This will be picked to bits. I see samurai, Minks, giants, ancient giants, dwarves, Imu, the Five Elders, Luffy, Emet, Kuma and Bonney, Shirahoshi, Ark Maxim, the Noah, Zunisha, and the giant serpent from Skypiea. I need to spend more time with it to identify everything else. But seriously, 1138 is going to become shorthand in the community for greatness.

This chapter was awesome!!! Imu's mural on the last page literally looks like the silhouette when Imu stopped Sabo's attack in the episode. The arc maxim is going to come cause it was shown on the mural, which means Eneru is coming back. And then the Shanks thing at the start, when Shamrock said Shanks returned to the holy land, it must have been after Gol D. Rogers death, I wonder if he got some intel on Luffys fruit before leaving the holy land to stop the government from getting it. But that mural is next level hypeness!!

And for the Zuneisha theory, it could be what Franky is blocking the view of the island that is Zuneisha, which is wild to think about, because that would mean the devil fruit tree was on zuneisha at one point. Fans might be coping on that.

Imu being the riain god and has a connection to Lily. Crocodile stole the rain from Alabasta. I just find it interesting that Alabasta had so much plot around water and it not being there, if Imu is a sea god and Lily had history with him. It's ironic that it is a desert country.

My theorized take on the mural with the combined thoughts & theories of the community.
First World: I believe "forbidden sun" is what the the Mother Flame was based on, and the original flame is a representation of the soul of Mother Earth aka the breath of creation not just an energy source. It could be the means which created the Sun God and the manifestation of people's desire that created people with unnatural powers as explained by Vegapunk (Ch.1069).
The Earth God could have been represented by the king of the giants, specifically Ancient Giants aka “Continent Pullers,” and the serpent of hellfire in could be a version of Jormungandr (this could be Loki’s devil fruit) from Norse mythology. Elbaf home of the giants is also called Warland, the birthplace of war in one translation of Ch. 1130. So the warring race of giants “shrouded the world in death and darkness.”
Second World: I believe Imu represents the Forest God. The Forest God tamed demons (people with unnatrual powers), which could be interpreted as enslavement. Control over demons also matches Imu's seeming abilities w/ the gorosei. It could also be an explanation to trap the will of demons into devil fruits, and Imu likely used these people to fight the uprising of the Sun God. The Forest God also matches his aesthetic displayed in the manga and anime.
As for the Sea God, I believe the predecessor to Monkey D Dragon represents the Sea God. "Stormed" key word in the chapter I believe this has literal and figurative meaning, and its literal meaning matches with Dragon's theorized abilities. So when mankind killed the sun and became god (celestial dragons), this angered the sea god cursing the demons... aka devils, thus cursing devil fruit users. I think with the many parallels in the story, it also aligns with what Imu and Dragon represent. The Forest God seemingly wants control, the Sea God seemingly wants freedom like the Sun God. It has been stated many times in the story the sea represents freedom. Imu and the celestial dragons want total control, Dragon and the revolutionaries want freedom. A quote from Admiral Ryokugyu talking about his devil fruit power hints that the forest has the ability to rival the seas (Ch 1054); this could have a double meaning.
The D. Clan are the remnants of the people of the half moon, and the people of the moon are likely the many tribes, races and nations that also aligned with Joyboy. (Kozuki of Wano, Minks, Lunarians, etc.)
Third World: Most of it is already explained that it is all the races aligning together with Luffy to fight Imu and the celestial dragons/god knights.
The official translation also has the column of text displayed in the Second World split differently than the First and the Third. Most of the textual information shown having direct relation that specific page of the manga panel pertaining to the mural.
what i understand is, the rigth side of the mural is the 1st World and the left side of the mural is the 2nd World and the 1138 chapters of the series is the 3rd World. Thats what I think
The three first murals we see are Poseidon, maybe a general Franky (who might be an ancient weapon built by the blueprints of Franky), and the third one may be Uranus.

my theory is how it will play out..... the crew meets the holy knights they will have a short fight, the holly knights have to back down and will say "we will see us again", planning to come back. The strawhats decide to train & elbaph starts to prepare.... we get a little time skip (couple mounth).... the holy knights come back with back up and thats how the finaly war starts.......
I think the straw hats are depicted in the mural. At least i think luffy zoro and sanji are. For the longest time we have known that the monster trio turned into the wings of the pirate king. I think that zoro is depicted as the sword that nika is holding in the mural and the shield is sanji. The robot actually being general franky and then the rest of the humans in the mural being the strawhats

while the third world is the future, the left side did happen during joyboys time and the individual races and parties that allied with joyboy are the same races that joined with luffy. so to put it simply the mural is 1st world right side, 2nd world left side, 3rd world is a mixture of both. thats makes it pretty easy to pull info from both sides without feeling constricted
although one thing i think is obvious to state for every theory would be that the right side is more prodominatley the first world leading into the second world
Summary:
Imu was the first sun god and founded the ancient kingdom and was seen as a savior. The second sun god joyboy fought against Imu and was seen as a bringer of war.
Full theory:
Imu was the first sun god from the first world realm. It was a time of war and conflict. Imu was a slave. Nevertheless Imu wanted the world. That desire angered the of the time gods. Imu then stole the sun and founded the ancient kingdom. Using the sun the ancient kingdom created the 3 weapons and devil fruits. Through sacrifice and slavery they were made. By creating devil fruits desires can be reincarnated therefore people can be revived their will. Defying death Imu would been known as a liberator. However the ancient kingdom was a brutal and subjugated all they came across, much like Mariejois. Some time pass and the second sun god was born “joyboy”. Dissatisfied with the current state of the world joyboy band together an army and fought against Imu. At this time the time of the first world is forgotten. The epic battle resulted in the sun being destroyed or weaken. And devil fruits spread through out the world. This battle reshaped the world. But joyboy was defeated and imu cursed all with devil fruits and ascended all his followers to godhood.
Next to whale and top of emeth is the shandoran chief with the red pelt. Also right of the tree ppl think zou, i think it also reps the wano volcano and people making the poneglyphs with their desires, souls, voices. And looks could be powered by the arc maxim, maybe momo could do it but what if on moon enel sees his own mural and history and joins the cresent moon clan
