  • Welcome to my homesteading, and gardening channel! We are self sufficient on small acreage and love to teach organic gardening and homesteading on small acreage and want to share with you how we do it. It CAN BE DONE on as little as 1/2 acre! I hope to inspire and teach you the best gardening practices I have learned over my lifetime and help you have success and less frustration. Join me in learning organic practices in the garden and on the little farm! Organic gardening practices, intensely planting fruits and vegetables, raising chickens for eggs and meat and dairy goats are all a part of our daily lives to be more self sufficient.

This woman and her family are amazing. This is truly an oasis in the desert. I have been privileged to take classes here and loved every minute of them. I could just sit and dream here (and glean here) for hours. Thanks for sharing Ali, Kevin, daughters and Grandkids. So fun.

Ali, your story brought me to tears when you said “this land that God graciously allowed us to be caretakers of and dwell on.” My hope and prayer is for God to show us land that we too can homestead on for our family and the community. We are currently renting, and we have enough space to garden and raise egg layers. Although I have planted small gardens for several years, I am very much a novice, but my dream is the same as yours. Thank you for sharing what you do. It was an encouragement to me today.

Very inspiring and beautiful! I live in Colorado Springs, and it makes gardening very challenging due to our labile weather swings. But I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me. GOD bless you Ali and your beautiful and blessed family.

I'm from NYC, and recently, we brought a house with a tiny piece of land on the outskirts of the city. Started with tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries. We recently added raspberries, lemon, cilantro, and eggplants. Thank you for sharing. Found your channel this morning. God sent and inspiring. You can feel Gods presence in your videos and space. God Bless 🪴🫶🏼💛🙏

1/2 acre is a lot for the average Dutch person. The shop is going back 50-60 years in time: living with the seasons and what the land gives. ❤

I love how not only is your homestead functional and essential but it is absolutely gorgeous as well. I look forward to binge watching your videos for tips and tricks.

Much respect, thank you 🤝. I'm 4 years OFF-THE-GRID in northern British Columbia Can'tada. Boat, float plane and sled access only. Bald Eagles nesting, raising a fledgling every spring, summer in my backyard 💪🍁🤣.

I truly love your homestead, I was wondering if you hav a layout of your place to give me ideas on building mine. We just moved from almost an acre to .45 acre. I’m trying desperately to arrange everything. I am very hopeful on my land after watching your video . Do you have any large trees in your yard? I’m looking to get goats and was wondering on the room they need. Your setup is wonderful for the animals. I do have 60 chickens , quail and rabbits and some raised beds and 6 yards of compost delivered that I’m working to put into beds. We have clay soil and it’s been a hard thing to work with but I’m amending it best possible ways available. You are truly an inspiration to me and others on what you can really do on a smaller piece of property. Getting fresh foods without chemicals is getting more challenging every day and people need to go back to learning how to fend for themselves for sure. We would have less hungry people if we all had the chance and want to grow things for ourselves again. People are moving into apartments and that makes them more willing to let the government take charge of what they consume because they have no way to feeding themselves or their children. Thank you again for your video!

This has been the best gardening video I've watched in a long time . When children are taught life skills early you can be assured that their future is set and productive. Thanks for sharing.
