- In this episode, I split the trunk of my big Siberian Fir to allow me to bend it to have a bit less of a stick-in-a-pot look. Will it work?

Great solution - this should benefit the long term development of this one Dave
I cannot wait for this update!!!!
That was wicked cool, Dave!
Great video Dave. Love that you got your wife involved awesome 😂👊👊👊
Interesting. Very interesting. Nice work doing the split. Time will tell.
I can't wait for the update. another great video dave
See you next spring!
Foist.....nice job
Why didn’t you try a wedge cut, way easier and safer
@@percyacutt3110 I think if the trunk was a little thicker I would have gone that route.
@@DavesBonsai If a wedge cut was used, it would be one angular change of direction rather than a gradual bend (unless you used a series of wedge cuts). I like this approach although I would like to have watched the wedge cut approach too (have any more sticks in pots, Dave?)
@@stevetippin oh, I have plenty of sticks…
Is this abies nordmannia ?
@@The_Mothzz I was told it was Siberian Fir. But they sure look the same.
@@DavesBonsai thanks
Looks like the mission was accomplished!
