- This tutorial will explain how to change skills of the offical roster characters with a simple,easy to use tool. No need to hex edit anymore. this will also teach you how to merge two custom_skill.cus files in to one. Links are in the description
READ THE DESCRIPTION
If you know step 1 and 2 skip to step 3
1) If you dont know how to use DBXV Patcher watch this • DBXV : Installing and ...
2) if you dont know how to extract cpks with lib xenoverse watch this • How to Install Dragonb...
3)Important - Always use one custom_skill.cus file. Do not replace it when you install mods. its in the system folder in data.
4)When trying to make two skillset mods compatible , always edit the skills manually for the second mod. It is very easy as the tutorial shows you.
Note- Some poeple rename skill names. This tool supports editted msg files(these contain the names).so if you select the edited msg folder , the new names should load. Also this tool is compatible with modded .cus files.

I remember there was a skill tool made by mastaklo but it had bug like big bang attack being III flash or something. This will save alot of time editing skills for sure. Gonna be using this for mods instead now.

I tried changing the moveset for Ginyu's last set but it didn't work, he still had his regular moves, even though if I reopen the custom_skill.cus it shows the moves I changed it to. It also doesn't give the opportunity to change the Z-Soul or change character model or anything (I wanted to make Ginyu in Vegeta's body)
how i can change the damage ?
i have modded chracters and they are all unkown how do i change it so i know who and what im changing
I saved the mod in the Xenoverse 2 folder .When i access it through steam .It pops up asking me what character i would like to change but it does not have a confirm or change button .So i don't know how to initiate charactor change with it
Browsing the internet for hours on end just to try to get the custom SSB hair mod on my 360. (The one that gives you a different super hair depending on the style you chose.)

+Ashutosh Kumar its a simple matter of looking for the character copying the two lines and pasting on one. but i really dont feel the need to use hex editor to edit skills anymore. you can make your own skillset mods really easy. and if one mod is supposed to have a certain skill set you can just use this tool to give it to them. its not difficult, is it?

Hey bro,does this skill editor work without the patcher?I'm using the old method of extracting packs and repacking(after copy pasting the mods in chara folder).
when I try to find them msg folder so how do I get the DBXV back up??
+Spyro Svk you can extract the data2.cpk with lib xenoverse. i have a tutorial for after dlc 3 watch that to learn how . then i copied the extracted data cpks in to a folder called dbxv back up . thats how you get the back up folder.

you can't
you can ... i dont know if this tool can do it but if you hex edit the cus file you just have to make it FF FF instead. hope that helps

I've followed all your steps, but after editing my "Saiyan male costume 1" it doesn't give me those skills that I have changed...help?
thats because this only works for the roster characters. you need to save edit to change your created character's skills

I'm having trouble getting this to work. I have a Gogeta mod, and he's supposed to turn into Super Saiyan Blue, and it says "Put SSJ3 for him to transform". I found this video, and followed it, but when it got to the msg folder part, it stopped working for me. I didn't have a msg folder already in my data folder, so I made one, but when I try to select it with the Skill Changer, it says
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue [doesn't work]. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Could not find file 'C:\Users\ ______ \Desktop\DB\Xenoverse\data\msg\proper_noun_skill_spa_name_en.msg'."
I made and tried to use a msg file in my "SteamApps -> Common -> DB Xenoverse -> data" file, but that didn't work, and I couldn't select the right thing. Please help me.
keep trying. sometimes it doesnt select the folder properly.I think its a bug in the program.but I have learned waiting a few seconds is good and it will help us avoid the bug.try to replicate what I did for starters as a test

I followed your steps (i have steam version) and it doesn't change my skills
name your steps and the file directory
So I downloaded the Skill changer file, I moved the custom file to my desktop to make it more managable, (might be the issue?? ill update you if changing the skill in the system file fixes my issue.) I moved the msg file to my desktop, I used the skill changer after making a HUM folder/sys folder/ data folder and placing it in there, I moved the custom file back into the dbxv folder and their directories now are C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DB Xenoverse\data\system and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DB Xenoverse\data\chara\HUM

Hey man, I'm having trouble with not this mugen's but the Zsoul Tool. I posted this on another video of yours but you didn't seem to respond so I'm trying again. I want to make a zsoul for my modded Frieza. However when I try to edit the Activation and Effect all I see is this: imgur.com/a/Y3EAu
It says Undetermined for every thing under Effect and Activation so I don't know what they mean. I looked up on the internet and I couldn't find anything. What I want to make is:
Name: I'll show you!!
Description: Lord Freeze's Z Soul. At start of battle all stats are greatly reduced. Upon transformation all stats get a great increase, take 50% less damage, gain 50% speed and you won't flinch.
Effect: Upon start all stats halved
Effect2: Upon transforming all stats go to normal, and then 50% increase so double from the decrease, no stagger, 50% faster, 50% tankier
Activation: Start of battle
Activation2: Upon transforming
Please help me.
