    Chris cannot help but to tear down Kobe to pump up LeBron every chance he gets.
    Folks DID know Kobe was nice BUT the league, at that time placed more emphasis on veterans and never ever had a high school kid come in and play well.
    Kobe was KILLING pros in workouts and scrimmages prior to the draft.... Everyone knew it but the league wasn't ready to take that gamble... Thus Kobe came in and had to sit and wait his turn despite him able to start from day 1. The Kobe's and KGs of the world laid the groundwork for LeBron to come and teams to be confident a high school kid come into the league right away and be great

      Exactly, Bron was no. 1 pick because of the immediate impact players like KG & Kobe had where they both Top 15-20 players in the NBA by the time they 20-21 years old. It's the main reason in 2001 Draft, 3 out of 4 Top 4 Picks were players straight out of highschool.

    Chris & Rob: As a point of reference I have been watching (or more recently just following) the NBA since 1963-64. So I remember Jerry West very well. The league during Jerry West's time was very different than now. In his era, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West were considered the two best guards. Those two were supplanted by Jordan, Erving, Majic Johnson, and Steph Curry, and LeBron. The LA Lakers should have won against the Celtics in 1969 and could have won in 1984. The Celtics had a very strong team during the 1960s - and their bench players could have been starters on other teams.

Let’s hope that Lebron becomes an owner to see if he can succeed at that level.

    why does race have to be brought in everything ?

    • @soda8736
      @soda8736 5 месяцев назад +1

      Because black media is obsessed with race. The race talk in the Catlin Clark conversation is black media members constantly bringing up race. We could be talking about a turkey sandwhich and some how a black media member will bring up race.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4
    King James Version
    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    Just fyi---he didn't draft Kobe. He traded for him on a hunch---and traded away Jabbar's replacement. That's sayin somethin

      You just don’t know what you’re talking about. Charlotte drafted him SPECIFICALLY because they learned how much Jerry wanted him. Jerry West tried to keep the tryout a secret because of how sure he was Kobe was going to be amazing.
      I have no idea why you’re trying to rewrite history.
