History 1301 Lecture 6: War and Crisis, 1754-1775

British America was challenged by French claims to the Ohio Valley region, precipitating the Seven Years' War, also known as the French and Indian War. The immense expense of winning the war for Britain led Parliament and King George III to change colonial administration in ways that generated resistance from the Americans.
