Hacksaw flat springs

Sometime you need a special spring... here is a way to make springs from used hacksaw blades. It is relatively fast and easy to make these springs - and the hacksaw blades are free of course (used ones).

Many hacksaw blades are bi-metal and have high speed steel only on the very edge, the remainder is milder steel to make it less prone to breakage. To make a good spring you need to use a 100% high carbon steel blade.
