I wish we got the digital dash and taillights you get on the GTI. It seems like you guys get a lot more standard features than we do in the states. Its weird though they left out the push button start.
Push button start here is an option with the keyless go - in the UK people are really cautious with keyless go as everything gets stolen (esp London!) 😂 - digital dash and tail lights are awesome on MK7.5 golfs tho

Good video, I agree the VW Golf Gti mk 7.5 pp is a great car, I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the best cars ever made. 🤩

@@UnderTheBonnet yes and still got it, I’ve looked around for something to replace it but can’t find anything. I even tried Porsche Cayman bu it was too noisy, rough and awful ride. I couldn’t see me touring in it. Any ideas?

I only had it for a few days so I can’t comment - if I was looking for a used example i would defo go pan roof! It’s amazing

I have owned both with DSG, the GTI was PP. The GTI gets better MPG by about 5 per mile. For DailyDriver...the R is a better where you get alot of rain and/or snow/ice. I live in Texas...and barring quarter-mile times or dig racing...The R doesnt do anything better than the GTI over 40 mph,,,and those cases under 40 mph are in the extreme outlier of frequency
Under 40mph it’s defo the traction that’s the difference, GTI will struggle to get a clean getaway whereas the R with 4WD has no issues to bolt off the line everytime, any weather
@@UnderTheBonnet absolutely...My R is upgraded a bit...it will do low 11 sec 1/4 mile and just under 3 sec 0 to 60. The AWD grips like tank treads and makes it possible

I watched your entire video in hopes I didn’t have to write this comment, but unfortunately I have to.
Why did you make a title stating what this video would be about “Living with a Golf GTI - Better than an R?” when you did not, not even once, explain how the GTI is better than an R? One thing I know about VW owners, especially GTI owners, is that they do not like to be scammed. You literally a click bait! Horrible video! Don’t write titles like that unless you explain HOW a GTI is better than an R!
