Black & Death Metal are usually what I have spinning but I love _most_ of it's sub-genres with the exceptions mainly being Nü-metal (rap-rock), & death-core & Metal-core because the vocalists of those bands always make me wanna throw-up. At 46, Metal was just a baby when I was. I started at 7 & the first bands in my life was Kiss, Black Sabbath & Alice Cooper. I love old sh*t, new sh*t, traditional & the brutal. But, one thing that I've noticed that seems to happen with _most_ people is they get stuck in a time frame. An era. After they hit their cut-off point, they are unable to take in anything new. And I'm sympathetic because I know that a great many good people are deprived of some phenominal music because of it. I doubt they recogize that at all judging by the things they say. There's plenty of killer Metal & has been since it was born. Yes, there are plenty of bands that are total f*cking garbage as well but this has also always been true. For any that feels that way, the music hasn't devolved, gone stale or stagnant. You have just given up. You stopped. Quit. Maybe there is only so much that most people are able to occupy themselves with? 🤷🏻♂️

Don't think it's that way, just a month ago there was a festival in Chile, two days with mostly thrash metal bands and it was attended by more than 10.000 headbangers! it was insane (Kreator, Anthrax, Destruction, Exodus, and more played in that show!)
