you can solder up the jet and redrill to size for fine tuning, good because you can always reverse it with some heat and more solder

you just learned me more about carburators then my dad, school edjucation and some of my friend all together just below 15 minutes well done!

You are genius sir... I use Subaru robin NB411 carb. It's the same problem. The oil to rich. So i try your method and problem solved. Even the sound is lighter and smooth. thank you very much sir.👍👍👍

Just had to tear apart and clean a carb just like this. Has been running for 2 days, and started to show signs of no fuel to the motor. The gasket inside the shut off valve was in pieces and the carb was full of gasket debris. You would think that they where using gaskets/orings that can handle fuel but clearly not, LOL.

Great video. Enbig hole about the internal diameter of a 1/2" copper tube. Not bigger so you'll loose fuel atomization.

The hard thing comes on carburating.
No matter how big jet hole is. But how needle size ando position is. I carburate 2 stroke jets on 49cc,80cc and higher cc this way:
Get a 0.01mm precisson caliper. Apply a binof soldering paste on the tip of the needle. Then apply some electronic soldering on the tip of the needle, below the tip, just touching the tip. Cooper soldering and plumbing soldering wire is very breakable. Electronic one is better.
Then put the needle.on a electric drill and sand it until you get 1.93-1.95mm, test it on all the lock positions from the needle and if it gets you top power keep it. If not satisfied. Sand it a little bit more until gets 1.91-1.93mm, test it and keep on until you get top power on WOT.
Then adjust idle adding a coating of soldering on the 10-11mm from the las e clip lock position of the needle. Or sand itnif it's already too wide.
How do you know it? If on best top power WOT you need to open too much your idle screw or is not enough and keeps on lowering revs until motor chokes and turns off, then you need to add some soldering and make a bigger diameter zone in the needle idling zone, on the contrary if after you get top revs staying unmoved and with clutch pressed (about 7000revs or so) and you suddenly close your throttle towards idling, and slows down very slowly or slows down hold and then keeps slowing down until idling revs, then you need to sand a little bit needle idling zone until you get a 1.5-2 secs until reaches idle revs from top revs (2.5 seconds top) if reaches 14000 revs or so.
Watch some professional chainsaw videos and listen how much does it takes from 12000 revs to 15000 revs to slow down.
      A 49cc usually revs to 5000-7000.
Then repeat the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 WOT With soldering between bottom and 11mm from last needle e clip notch. J til get top power and you can get serious professional motocross power on your 49cc just by adjusting needle carburetion wideness manually.
Also you can add a 220uf 20kV condenser/capacitor in the screwing metal from the spark plug cap and being pressed with the coil cable, then add some electrician tape for isolation and a 3/4" water hose over theere so spark doesn't jump out to the frame. And you will se more spark stability and better and faster starting a and high acceleration just by adding it.
Hope this could be useful to you.
Also you can buy a 80cc 2 stroke carburetor. They are so Chinese BTW but cheap and have bigger throats.
A last advice: look for some AliExpress 2 stroke filter with base, there are some metal bases and plastic connector for 42mm filter.
Your piston and cilindros will be almost eternal since mayor wearing comes from particles in the air.

I drilled every hole I found in that carburetor just to fit it on a 72 cc Zuma and it works great like if it’s a fucking 22 mm carburetor

Do a 49cc mid size pocket bike have a cdi pull start

This video was helpful - I just took mine apart and cleaned it and realize there is no idle circuit and it went through the single main jet. It runs well when the throttle is open and dies quickly when the needle closes which is consistent with what you described. Was just going to raise the needle one clip so it doesn't go in as far and figured that would help. Is your wire then just leaning out the jet or is it also intended to limit how far the needle goes down? If I am happy with the tune, I assume the needle being raised is sufficient, will try that next when my son is home since it is his learning project.

      leaning out the jet...

    • @BobDingleful
      @BobDingleful Год назад +1

@@lanecole1217 It feels to me like the jet is being closed suddenly. I have jets coming. I also find it weird that it didn't have an emulsion tube - I have a few other carbs coming to try that look the same but are all slightly differentn internally.

i cant really see any difference between slide notches... theoritically moving the needle up will give u more fuel... so bigger power... but we need more air geeting in.... right?@@lanecole1217
