@@AStick3Pedals My 535i smells a lot 🥲 I'm thinking to buy a sport cat instead of catless downpipe. It costs about 500 EUR, the power should remain almost the same, but there wouldn't be almost any smell.
@@vOzidloCZ I just got a 16 535ix M sport and been shopping around on how I’m going to build it and I think the carted pipe is the way to go, if u see this lmk if you got it?
@@brianmiller915 Hi. My config for now is MHD tuning Stage2+ about 400hp. In your case it will be 420hp coz you have an electric valve on your turbocharger. Also I made an Xhp Stage3.
Regarding the cat, I have bought a 200cel sport cat from tuning company in Poland. It cost 450 EUR and it's made for EURO-4 emission norms.
BUT! The most most interesting. I have been on emission test and with good heated cat we have managed to get to EURO-6 upper limits. So the police can say nothing.
Regarding the power... The MHD says it's about 400hp with catless downpipe and intercooler. So I assume, that I have about 380hp because of the sport cat. It's a bit slower, but at least it doesn't smell when it's heated.

Must’ve been a good custom tune with those HP numbers, typically OTS BM3 and MHD stage 2 would be ~370 crank hp
Yep! The tune was done by pure turbos in Belgium. They are one of the best BMW tuners.
Is 400hp the limit for these? I dont see much beyond 500
No, N55 engines can'take much more

Old post Ik but I got you on the answer. The N55 fixes a lot of issues that the N54 had. Although cost cutting did happen, the biggest of which is this block has an open top deck of the block compared to the N54 which is closed deck. The block just physically isn’t as strong as it’s predecessor so you pretty much have to put work into the bottom end of the engine to make the same kind of power that the N54 can do with a stock block. I forget if the internals are forged like they are on the N54. You can do it, but you really have to work around it’s limitations.
aliexpress mirror caps is a no, and it's kinda crazy that in europe u can have assistants, digital dash etc and basic audio not even hifi? allround a nice looking car

How have you come to the conclusion of 8 miles per gallon?
@@AStick3Pedals I coulda sworn in your eco statistics it was saying 13 kmpg or I at least assumed the 13 was in km and then just did some conversion.
@@AStick3Pedals yeah bro at least I’m not crazy at 8:33 you see how efficient dynamics and it’s at 13.7 km pg
@@SonicUnleashed25 The unit being used is liters per 100 kilometers. 13.7 liters/100 km is equal to 17.1 US mpg or 20.6 UK mpg.
