I tell ya, I've been having some really good success with a Move Control deck featuring Agony and Aran'a. The rest of the deck consists of ProfX, Capt Marvel, Vision, Cosmo, Zabu, Jeff, Shang Chi, Enchantress, Red Guardian & Silk. Kicking some butt right now. Controls most stuff that buffs. Aran'a and Agony buff the movers nicely. If you can pull off ProfX well enough, it doesn't matter if he's losing his lane. You should give it a shot.

So I tried the Agony/Hulk Buster interaction. Hulk Buster's On Reveal is on the stack first, so HB attaches to Agony. Agony never triggers because there's nothing to attach to. She then will attach to the next card played there.
Hey Alex, the Galactus stuff works 😂 Play line Setup: 1. Arana down left 2. Agony mid or left 3. Symbiote Spiderman to the right of Agony Turn 6 Execution: 1. Activate Arana 2. Play Galactus on Agony 3. Activate Symbiote Spiderman Outcome: 1. The Arana activate will move Galactus first, and give the bonus buff (GMan = 6 + 2 = 8) 2. Galactus now at the moved location, then Agony merges with it (GMan = 8 + 2 = 10). 3. Symbo Spidey merges with Galactus, retriggers the ability (GMan = 10 + 7 = 17). Was the playline unecessary? Probably. Was it fun? Yes. 😂
Everyone having so much fun with the game mode. I don’t think anyone realized they took collectors token out the rewards track. As a free to play I was looking forward to those. If you watch the high voltage reveal trailer they changed collectors token with credits smh. They are so greedy
@@dark3176 there are some high value offers, like I bought Black cat got big amount of gold and then bought Kitty skin for that gold, it was worth it. I bought a Ajax with tokens from Kitty Pride bundle. Ultra value.
Honestly I wasn't expecting her to be a meta definer, I was just expecting her to be a targeted Hulk Buster which is what she seems to be so I'm happy, lol. So far neither of the free cards have been completely insane imo and don't expect any other free card to be like that so I'm fine with her being just good.

By far the most enjoyable mode we have seen a long time. The mode itself is great it's offerings not so much. It would appear they learned from Deadpool's diner with regards to intensive gold needed. To be honest why play another mode in the game. Now would be a great time to introduce Vanilla Snap. Bring back the cards to their former glory in a new mode. ( no doubt limited) TTFN
I really don't think this would be as fun as you think, plus like, where do they draw the line? Bc some cards reverted to their older selves just actually suck ass lol. Not to mention that if Alioth/Cosmo is already annoying in Voltage, imagine the old toxic strats like old leader, Zabu -> Spidey -> Abs Man, old galactus, etc.. The game mode would just entirely be who shuts out their opponent first lol
Agony is a more consistent and reliable version of Hulk Buster. I never had a good experience with Hulk Buster in Destroy....having a blast with Agony, guaranteed Deadpool buffs is satisfying

I have built a boost heavy deck with Agony and I'm starting to really love her. When you launch a Gwenpool with both Shaw and Agony still in hand you're about to have a fun time 😊
Can't imagine the rage from players if this was in the cache and worth 6,000 tokens. Haven't got it yet, but I do want to try it in a Zoo deck. If you can boost it via Kazar and Marvel Boy, then playing a card on its location on 5 both boosts quite a bit as well as giving you an extra room to play on 6.
@@Strikemarkerwhich I’m happy with tbh, spotlight keys and 6k tokens are so precious it would limit design space to only release cards worthy of players’ resources. Thru these events and whatever other methods they’re cooking up it gives them a means to do these tame or niche cards to round out the edges of all in greedy decks
Thank You for epic stream to JP and Alex. It was very enjoyable, especially the ensuing chaos in chat, when Ryan from PAX was handing out the cardback codes. It’s worth mentioning, that with whole discussion about card acquisition and cost of playing, people sometimes forget, that the positive community of SNAP players is one of the strongest sides of this game. This is the most valuable capital the game can have. Agony is first series 4 card in months and maybe it’s mid, but at least it’s free. It’s always nice to have additional choice to buff Deadpool 😋
I had an idea for how they could rework Agony Make it so the next played card merges with Agony and Agony gains the text (but not repeat on reveals and such) This could make for a cool interaction with Nimrod, since it can now be killmongered While yes it makes it way less flexible as most other things dont want to be 1-cost, but can give the card an identity Might also be cool in zoo then, seeing as you can convert a card into a 1 cost and have it be buffed by marvel boy and kazar
Deadpool, Johny F4, Symbiote + Galactus, Black Panther, Hulkbuster, and use to destroy the widow's bite or active some location or anti the Goblins and the green arrow. Notthing else?
Honestly the only other place where I could see agony working is Cerebro 2. Giving something like Cerebro itself or iron man the Cerebro boost could be good, but overall agony is pretty doo doo.
I was thinking about adding this to a surfer deck, turn 4 is always an awkward turn if you don’t run Gwenpool so having a guaranteed Agony->Sebastian Shaw could be fun

I really love that the Phoenix force deck you have linked doesn't even have agony. Frankly I dont think it needs her and it's just a darn good deck as is. Haha

I think agony should kill the card she merges with. That way she works very well with Wolverine, X-23, Nimrod, Sabretooth even. This would make her more interesting and less similiar to hulkbuster. She would then be amazing in Phoenix and destroy decks, but as is right now, she seems very meh. Like having a 1 cost destroy card would be nuts, but maybe too nuts Edit: i dont know if it makes sense lorewise, but since you are always playing her on cards that wanna get blow'n up, i thought this would be a nice bonus.
But then she wouldn't work with like 90% of the cards in the game, lol. I get that you said so that she's less similar to hulkbuster, but I think agony with Scarlet Spider and maybe even lasher (whenever he comes out) will be pretty good

That’s marvel snaps fault for introducing a nearly identical card to hulkbuster. Lowkey all of the symbiote cards aren’t good at all, besides Scream maybe and even she got nerfed. Haven’t seen much Toxin play.
I love when ppl beat me and emoji like crazy when I'm not trying to win but just trying to finish missions... but when I'm playing to win I see no emojis ..or when I lose when I'm playing frfr .
Actually, that is not a bad webcam, the picture looks pretty good for a webcam. But just for future reference, you do know there are now lots of ways to use your phone as a webcam and as long as you have a half decent phone it will give you a pretty good result.

I feel like it could help improve some other combos and deck building possibilities. Think of all the cards that want the extra power (Deadpool, Black Panther, Sabastian Shaw, Daken, Beta Ray etc). I always wanted them to add the Chimichanga as a permanent card. When you compare a 0-cost Agony to Wasp and Yellow Jacket, Wasp only has 1 power but does benefit from Patriot… and Yellow Jacket is just ☠️ and needs a rework, let’s face it!
I agree that Cassandra Nova is far superior to Agony, but Deadpool's Diner was a real grind compared to High Voltage which is a lot of fun. Because it was easy to get, I am fine with a "not great" card from High Voltage.
I think hulkbuster is better than agony due to its stronger synergies with destroy/duplicate locations. Agony feels awkward because you need to always play it first so it needs to be draw early. Hulk buster is more flexible in that regard which is surprising since it's a higher cost.
Honestly I’m fine with them making “meh” cards and giving them to us for free. With how resource-expensive new cards usually are, there’s just no way to introduce “average” cards to the game through the normal methods.
The best possible play line for agony is turn 1 play nova, turn 2 play phylock, turn three play symbiot spiderman, turn four play agony into or vise versa, turn 5 play forge , turn 6 you play glactus on the symbiot spiderman and activate him you will have +14 power on the world eater😂 other than that she's not the best. Not the worst. Her ability can help alot of cards but because she triggers after the cards initial effect it's weird to play with and cas see her being buffed/reworked a tiny bit to trigger as soon as it flips.... but for not she works amazing in my namora deck.... people sleep on her and think your playing stupidly by playing only 1 thing at a location and stack another with shit😂
Honestly a bit disappointed with her. Initially (and this may just boil down to me being stupid) i read it as “when you play a card here, merge that card with this.” Pretty similar, but the difference is that the card would go into Agony, and not the other way around. This would mean that agony absorbs the other card and is still around to absorb more. I thought that would’ve been super sick and a good way to give Shuri/Taskmaster a bit of a boost, but was let down when i realized she’s just an easier to use HB-… Idk if that sounds super OP, but i kinda don’t think so because of Killmonger, Shang Chi of course, and Shadow King. I personally think that’s how she should’ve worked, but that’s just me wanting an excuse to use the cool variants i have in my Shuri deck i guess lol

Yup true i noticed it right away and there were like 2k tokens in the reveal trailer which now replaced with only 250 credits which is smh

You could try some Skaar combo. I haven't seen anyone doing that yet. For example Agony plus Gladiator is 10 power.

Why have you stopped playing every new card in Silver Surfer? Agony and Scorn both are a blast in discard surfer with Shaw and Daken

IMO, it is quite good in one archetype. If you like Discard its great, otherwise a pass, and the others in the pack this week aren't the best.
She's a decent card but only if you like discard deck. Better save your key for toxin or next month cards

Seems liek Second Dinner did everathing right with High Voltage. Fun mode without any FOMO elements and even the reward card is mediocre at best haha

I like agony in my c2 deck. It works great. It’s still a bad deck but when it works it works.
Unironically the best synergy for Agony is Scarlet Spider xD

Yes and No. Mostly no. Agony is only better if you are playing a card in a lane where On-Reveals are not allowed.

I think hulkbuster is better than agony due to its stronger synergies with destroy/duplicate locations. Agony feels awkward because you need to always play it first so it needs to be draw early. Hulk buster is more flexible in that regard which is surprising since it's a higher cost.

Honestly I’m fine with them making “meh” cards and giving them to us for free. With how resource-expensive new cards usually are, there’s just no way to introduce “average” cards to the game through the normal methods.
The best possible play line for agony is turn 1 play nova, turn 2 play phylock, turn three play symbiot spiderman, turn four play agony into or vise versa, turn 5 play forge , turn 6 you play glactus on the symbiot spiderman and activate him you will have +14 power on the world eater😂 other than that she's not the best. Not the worst. Her ability can help alot of cards but because she triggers after the cards initial effect it's weird to play with and cas see her being buffed/reworked a tiny bit to trigger as soon as it flips.... but for not she works amazing in my namora deck.... people sleep on her and think your playing stupidly by playing only 1 thing at a location and stack another with shit😂

It's basically pre played hulkbuster. Just think of her similar to when forge is still a 1 cost
Yeah, Scorn is better than Agony, but Agony doesn't require keys or tokens. So, instantly superior for F2P misers like me.

Honestly a bit disappointed with her. Initially (and this may just boil down to me being stupid) i read it as “when you play a card here, merge that card with this.” Pretty similar, but the difference is that the card would go into Agony, and not the other way around. This would mean that agony absorbs the other card and is still around to absorb more. I thought that would’ve been super sick and a good way to give Shuri/Taskmaster a bit of a boost, but was let down when i realized she’s just an easier to use HB-…
Idk if that sounds super OP, but i kinda don’t think so because of Killmonger, Shang Chi of course, and Shadow King. I personally think that’s how she should’ve worked, but that’s just me wanting an excuse to use the cool variants i have in my Shuri deck i guess lol
TLDR; i thought she would be like a Blob. You play Black Panther into her, you get a 12 power agony, not a 12 power Panther.
