Jeff doesn't get the credit he deserves, he's one of the best keyboard players in the world. I used to see Jeff play in small dive jazz clubs in Boston when he attended Berklee school of music. I knew he'd be a star someday, and he is.

At the risk of giving away my age(LOL): Along with Chick Corea's Elektric Band(RIP) and Russell Ferrante(Yellowjackets), Jeff Lorber is quite possibly my favorite Jazz/Fusion electronic keyboardist. I mean, throughout the 1980s I listened to those JL Fusion records constantly, and most especially Private Passion(1986). #respect

Those 3 are on my top list. Not just their individual skills but their songs and bands.

Great God! The jazz legend is teaching us! My youth lost all sense of idleness when I heard 1 track from his Soft Space album back in 1979 - the start of my jazz fusion obsession throughout the early 80s, this is my only qualification.

bought it unsatisfied with it, I love jeff, but very disappointed the way he really didn't brake anything down in parts, more like showing off, don't get me wrong jeff is awesome, but wanted him to brake it more down, also when reading what he was going to play was 3songs and one of them was he had a hat he did not play it, and the other songs he did not brake down or have chords to it, very disappointing, i know that it only cost $15 but i would have paid more if he would have gave more if he would have put more into it.
    sorry.
Note: he did have chords on the first few songs but all in all he went very fast even to stop the video he's moving to fast!

Sorry that you were unsatisfied John. There are 2 parts to this video series and it looks like you only purchased part 1. Jeff discusses and plays "He Had a Hat" in part 2 and there is a lot more info in that video as well. Also, there are ways to slow down the video for transcribing, etc. Please contact me at the site and I'll hook you up.

I bought "Jeff Lorber - Fusion Masterclass 1" and it was not very helpful in my opinion. Jeff Lorber is a great player, but he is not a good teacher for me in this content. I guess it is good for those who like his playing and songs.

      Quit complaining. It's a _masterclass._

@@musical_lolu4811so….we have to already be a “master” to be able to utilize the info? Any way you slice it, the info should be slowed down so is mere mortals can absorb it. Jeff is a masterful player, but being a master TEACHER is different than being a player and performer.
