This strangely reminds me of my childhood and seeing this amazing technology evolving year after year, this world we live in today has come so far tech wise it amazes me so much, I can't wait to see more of the future! :)

FawfulDied: Lesson learned! The Core 2 was just a better P3, and they finally put all the good parts of the P4 back in the mainstream with their latest offerings. Minor setback, but cool commercials.

Pentium 4 Is still a good and reliable processor even today, It can still do all the basic things on a computer. It got the job done for me for a long time, but I have now upgraded to a dual core 1.6 ghz and It's awesome!!
you think that slow Pentium 4 is good wait till you upgrade to a modern Pentium processor kid you're in for a huge speed increase as well as 1080p video here on RUclips🤣🤣 they now have a P-core and that thing screams along with 4 e-cores twice as many as your dual core has to offer🤣🤣
At this point even a Raspberry Pi outperforms a Pentium 4 whilst sipping 5% of the power at most, not to mention that P4 was an inefficient CPU even when it was new compared that what AMD had.

No, It's just my personal experience. it seems to work much better for me. there is something that the new processors lost when they made them pinnless. I'm not just a hipster douchbag trying to make old tech look better. an example is that when I'm playing TESV (skyrim) with the Dual-socket P4 (3Ghz x2 on a HT Based system) I get 120 FPS, while with the I3 and I5 processor with the same specs I get 100 FPS. both the same settings Specs and OS. P4 uses dual AGP 4650, I3-I7 uses PCIE 4650.
@TheRealFurryFox Depends on your budget imo. If you have enough money for the i5, go for it. If you can't afford an i5, go for a cheaper AMD quad core.

got the p4- so slow it pains- using a Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 right now as my i7 3770 machines psu died andneed to brouse for parts and even with this- playing hd/hq video encodes slows stuttered frames. i want to scrap the p4 machine but its perfectly intact- but xp would not pick up on the internet while linux would- how that happened when it was an xp machine to start with- maybe i'll just keep the chip, ram and a few screws and bin the machine...
Damn, I'm grateful for an i5 4460. Have you tried puppy Linux or some other lightweight Linux distro? I just installed normal manjaro Linux on my PC and it made a huge difference. Couldn't afford to get an SSD.
core 2 duo has prove that it was wrong idea to introduce netburst pentium 4 rather than stick with their current p3, high frequency my ass...i had a p4 2.0ghz(willamette) and it ran only a bit faster than my pentium 2 350mhz on most of game at the time O_O(on win2000 back to the time) i must say p4 is one of piece of junk at all time!
