You said keep your hose straight when stored, maybe coiled would be better because if the hose starts to crack when coiled, you have a visable sign to change the hose. Better seen before dive than underwater.
@@ramekd I am not sure about that, if the hoses get brittle, I rather know about it and switch it out. If left straight you will never see the brittleness. It is like people who say service a reg every year vs it worked last dive so all should be good. Not sure which side the bent hose lies. I am in the yearly service side. Another point, manufacturers sell their hoses or regs with hoses coiled up for many months.

Except that...if you don't coil it...you won't have that problem. So just leave them straight.
