      Can you please provide any textbook source for it.we have a question in our recent exam regarding multimeter.
      An average-reading multimeter reads 5 V when fed with a square wave symmetric about the time-axis. For the same input an rms-reading meter will read (1) 5/ √2 V (2) 5/√3 V (3) 5 V (4) 10 V
      They have given 10v as answer. But if we use full wave rectifier rms value of square would be same as average

      @@sateeshbollam6394 Actually the RMS voltage of the full wave rectifier is Vm/√2. I will try to send you the name of some reference books till evening.
