Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, discusses the dangerous exercise that he calls "The Dip and Curl".
Every so often, I see a patient in my office who has injured their back while working biceps. For many years, I did not understand why this would happen. Until finally, one day I saw it for myself in the gym. I witnessed The Dip and Curl!
This is a move so dangerous, that I don't believe Tom Cruise would even attempt it on a movie set!
In all seriousness, when training biceps (or any muscle group), work with a weight that you can perform good solid repetitions. You will benefit more using a weight that you can handle. And most importantly, you will avoid injuries!

Doctor, is it true that one can build the biscep with chin ups alone secondly, by holding static positions in the hollow body position with dumbbells?

Chin ups are excellent for biceps development. Even doing static holds on chin ups. You can also do isometric holds with dumbbells as you mention. Good luck!!
