Final Fantasy 14 is a love letter to every final fantasy fan out there. Be it you came on in 7 or started with the Originals...there's something for everyone...and It still somehow made it the whole thing very unique.... so amazing..and highly recommend as a Final Fantasy fan... and one that didn't care much for MMOs until this lol
Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime. I'd say give it a try if you love final fantasy games. They are currently trying to do patch content so you dont really have to play with other players, if you dont like the mmo aspects.
If you're a Final Fantasy fan, you owe it to yourself to at least try FF14. A lot of the fans to the franchise dismiss this entry to the franchise because it's labeled as MMORPG but little do they know, it is a Final Fantasy through and through. Personally, having finished Endwalker, this is no doubt that it's the best Final Fantasy I have played. This is coming from a person who picked up the original Final Fantasy game back in 1990 when i was 8 years old and have been a fan of the franchise since then.
The first two lines of your comment is exactly what I did. Dismissed it because its an MMORPG but so far I am loving it, not long defeated our first Primal and its such a joy! Love that you've been a fan of he franchise since the beginning .
It's less an mmorpg, and more an rpgmmo. The story is the primary focus. There are spots where it sort of drags on, but it does need that context for the later stuff to hit as hard as it does. It's ultimately worth it since once you have the context of everything going on it picks up and doesn't let up. I consider it one of, if not THE best title in the franchise. There is a reason the dev team was tapped to work on ffxvi.
Yes, it is Bahamut. The most powerful Bahamut in the franchise. Who nuked an entire continent in less than 3 minutes. Yes, it is Odin. You can have his armor and he can appear as a World Boss. This game has everything that a MMO veteran or a Final Fantasy fan could ask: fanservice, a rollercoaster of emotions, top tier Boss Fights, and much more.
I just wish Odin's armor came with his cape though! Farmed the whole set and was sad when I saw it didn't have the cape. Got his sword recently too and I'm torn between using it and my zodiac relic that I finally finished because both look awesome
Do not rush the game. The story speeds up in a crazy way after a bit - I highly recommend all the expanded content for each expansion before moving to the next. Full experience, mate! Also, I need that Cosmo Canyon remix - what was that playing near the end of the video?
Thank you mate. I plan to literally do every little thing I can see. Every single quest. Learn the lore and take my sweet time with it. ruclips.net/video/QR_HmidODnM/видео.html Here is the link to the video with the Cosmo Canyon remix. I love it and listen to it everyday.
@@MoneyBenjamin Oh god. Well, to give you some advice (in order to help you avoid major burnout): • Don't bother with the quests that have a plain, *solid gold icon*. They are your typical MMO sidequests and most don't give any worthwhile rewards - in fact, they're mostly just used as a means of getting that last little trickle of EXP you may need to reach your next level, and most certainly should not be your primary means of levelling/earning Gil (seriously, there are SO MANY of these in the game that doing them all will actually probably kill you IRL, lol). • Quests with a *blue icon accompanied by a '+' symbol* are "unlock" quests. You SHOULD do most of these as soon as you see them, because they generally unlock new content, activites or classes/jobs that otherwise would not be available to you. All raid & optional dungeon questlines will be under this icon, as well. • Quests that bear an icon with a *blazing outline* are quests that are part of the MSQ (Main Scenario Quests). These are your bread and butter when it comes to the game's story, as well as the best way to level your favourite job (the MSQ of each expansion will always carry you to that expansion's level cap).
@@MoneyBenjamin Anytime :) If you want any more advice, don't be afraid to reach out. Even for MMO veterans, FFXIV can be confusing at times since it handles so many things so differently. There are also a lot of settings that aren't active by default that would massively improve the game experience. Stuff like that. If you happen to join an EU data center for whatever reason (specifically, Chaos) I'd be glad to help you out in-game, as well.
@@MoneyBenjamin Another good reason to skip most of the side quests the first time around is this: at some point, you will probably want your character to get a second "job" (classes in FF XIV are called jobs). When that happens, the character needs to be leveled in that job again, and you can't redo the main story quest chain on the same character. So save the side quests until you're leveling his second, third, or even fourth job! Leveling using only dungeon running, levemetes, and FATEs is boring.
Eventually we will get you through the raid series which dives into that opening sequence and elaborates on it. I have to see your reaction to the ending of it
I'm a bit late to the party, but dude, your reaction put a smile on my face, at the same time the trailer brought a tear to my eye as it always does. "I've never played an MMO before..." "Oh dear..." Seconds later... "I've got goosebumps!" "This guy's gonna be alright." This trailer just does so much right. You feel the desperation of that battle, the fear as Bahamut is released from his prison with countless years of pent up rage to unleash, a slight glimmer of hope as the Scions pray fervently to grant Louisoix the power to bind Bahamut once again, and... Hopelessness as Bahamut breaks free, leaving Louisoix no choice but to teleport the Heroes of Light out of certain death, a part of the plan that obviously hadn't been discussed with them, and to a time they could actually do some good. All backed up with the wonderful song "Answers". I don't know if you're still adventuring in Eorzea, I hope you are, and I hope it's bringing you as much joy as it brought me.
And it's a really old cinematic, too. That first played in November 2011! Over 10 years later it still holds up. Hell, there are ten year old movies that don't look as good today.
I've played this game 2,000 hours and those cutscenes still give me goosebumps. I've watched dozens of hours of new players seeing them for the first time and this content *NEVER* gets old. I know this is a couple years old, but welcome to the game, friend.
The first half of the trailer is how you pull the plug on a failed mmo with a promise to redo it from the ground up and re release a year later. Ffxiv is the best comeback story in the history of gaming
I love this game, I've been playing it since before A Realm Reborn. Yes, I'm what's called a meteor survivor. I love that to this day people love this trailer. Oh btw the trailer's song (Answers) has meaning. So, keep that in mind, so that's as a far as I'll go lol.
To answer your question...that is Odin. Also, I would explain something as it pertains to this trailer, but that would be spoilers of optional content. All I will say though, it really explains what happened after the group was teleported away.
Yasssss it’s Odin! It did look like a variant of him. Ooooo I look forward to finding out what happened after the group teleported away! Thank you for watching as well I appreciate it 🙏🏾
Don't worry, man: no need to put your feelings into words. We've ALL been there. The first time I watched it, I don't think I breathed for close to 10 minutes. I was just...dumbstruck by the sheer horror of it all.
I don’t blame you my friend!! I couldn’t believe it when I watched it. I’m in the Post ARR patches currently so I’m excited to check out the Heavensward Trailer soon!!
@@MoneyBenjamin Do enjoy! Do note though, game got SOOOOOOOO popular for December’s Endwalker expansion, that they stopped selling it. Unless you already have an account, or they resume sales, you can’t play it

I have a hard time believing that, especially as the culmination of a ten year long story in endwalker was truly special. But i do believe that 16 is going to be amazing.
