Boric Acid to Control Insects from Rice : Effective Totka for Susri in Rice

Controlling insects in rice storage is essential to prevent infestations and maintain food quality. While boric acid can be effective in controlling certain insects, it is not recommended to directly use boric acid on rice intended for human consumption. Diatomaceous Earth: Food-grade diatomaceous earth is a natural and safe option to control insects in rice. This powder damages the exoskeleton of insects, leading to dehydration and death. It is harmless to humans and pets when used correctly.
Vacuum Sealing: Vacuum-sealing rice bags can help maintain the freshness of the rice while preventing insects from entering. It is an effective way to store rice for an extended period.
Rotate Rice Stock: Use the "first-in, first-out" principle when storing rice. Consume the older rice stock first and replenish with fresh rice to avoid storing rice for extended periods, which can attract pests.
Professional Pest Control: In severe infestations, it is advisable to seek assistance from professional pest control services. They can assess the situation and provide appropriate treatments to eliminate the insects safely.
