Amen. From the stories of how the early Christians conducted themselves during the two pandemics, we can learn much. Having gone through a similar experience recently we can compare how we did with how they did. We donned masks and gloves, stockpiled food, toilet paper and hand sanitizer and anything we thought we would need BEFORE anyone else could get it. And of course made sure we got the shot before they could run out and we didn't get one. Then we hid ourselves from others. (Some are still hiding.) We closed our church buildings down for up to two+ years. Yet most went to work regularly. So how did we do compared with the early Christians?
Lesson: If we fail to learn from past mistakes we will repeat them. Jesus never hid from the needs of others. He came into the world as the unwearied servants of humankind. We are to do likewise. Please forgive us and help us Heavenly Father to do better next time. To be fair I must say there were some who did as the early Christians. We applaud them and greatly respect their Christian conduct. Praise God for them.

Thank you for these lessons and your prayers. Check out Heb. 11:35-38 how people came back to life and how some refused to be set free from persecution because they wanted a better crown. Then study in Revelation who are those given authority to judge. The great multitude are obviously nor given authority to judge, there is apparently to be a very special group of people, possibly, like Steven and the apostles, who died for their faith are those appointed to sit on the jury of the judgement that we believe began in 1844. Plese note that nobody has been raised to stand before the judgement seat that has already begun, only their deeds are being judged.

Regarding the Mission Story: We have been counseled by the Prophetic Pen against participation in competitive sports. This counsel is being widely and boldly disregarded by Church leaders and members alike. Even though we put a spiritual spin to it it still does not meet God's approval, And we wonder why so many of our youth leave the Church. We are training them to love the things of the world and God will hold us accountable. See 1John 2:15-17
