    Hey, a few notes on the information in the video.
    there are not 3 types of crude oil, the light medium and heavy oils all come from crude oil in a process called distillation done at oil refineries. All crude oil is the same, just contain different amounts of sulfur based on where it is in the world.
    A big reason some countries export their oil is because sour oil refining is banned in some countries due to the pollutants that get released during the process. Most refining processes are done offshore where there are no greenhouse emission laws

    Perhaps it is time to brush off the "peak oil" theory. It was a big thing back in the early 2000s. It was credited for the real reason of the Invasion of Iraq, the 2008 recession, etc. The proponents of PO did not factor in fracked oil in the US nor the lack of discipline within OPEC and the lower demand for oil overall in the Western World (learned a lot of lessons from the Embargos of the 1970s). When SA has to import oil is when one has to wonder if they had already peaked or at least plateaued.
    Unfortunately we will only know looking in the rear view mirror as production numbers slowly diminish year after year. Hopefully by then electrified transportation will have displaced much of current demand.

    One comment in the video is very incorrect. When you say that western countries are funding Russia that is incorrect. It's a common misconception that people think sanctions were supposed to cut off Russia's exports. They weren't. They were designed to cut off Russian imports, making it hard to impossible for them to wage their war. That's why you're reading stories about Russia having to import ammunition from North Korea, because they can't get any imports into their country and they aren't self-sufficient in making firearms or ammunition. So Russia is getting money from the west for their oil and natural gas, but they can't buy anything with that money. That's also why Russia recently cut off natural gas exports, because they've caught on to the fact that they can't actually buy anything with the cash that they are getting from selling natural gas.

    It just goes to show how close we are to running out of oil .. I mean that was one heck of mumbo jumbo way of saying that .. but appreciated that you reported on the biggest gorilla in human history that every other reporter is too scared to report on. Now if you translate the words climate change into we are running out of oil .. all of a sudden everything that they say starts to make sense..

      RUclips's that aren't in countries that are allied with saudi are always allowed to shit talk about the country. Reporters & journalists can't tho because the saudi market is so good that at the end of the day everyone wants a piece of the pie. Example of this is blumberg reports. They went from reporting against the country to advertising the new blumberg Arabic in Saudi.

    Okay - I had to work my whole live very hard - just to see how I am maniputlated because Saudia Arabia made an easy living at my expense. But this is coming to an end.
    I had enough that every summer I had to pay 20% more (why? for what?) So I ordered my EV - to no longer need to rely on Texas or on Saudi Arabia. You had 50 years of my live and now I have an option. So - I don',care. we will drop the demand and we will drop it fast. Even we are only 20% EV - but we are going hard into the direction of energy independence.
    Next stop electricity - Next stop heating - Next stop warm water - Next stop cooling -- Next stop AWG.

    • @Sophie-go3ql
      @Sophie-go3ql 2 года назад

      Do you really think that electricity needed to charge your EV comes from wind and and hydro and sun alone.
      Also the reason for the 20% more, is because we are governed by corrupt kleptocracy, and don't do anything about it.
