One of the best pairings with trample is deathtouch. Enabling that isn't too difficult - and now you're cooking with gas as all enemy creatures take 1 damage and their controller takes the rest.
Shout out to Quartzwood Crasher for its big Timmy energy. Seeing it go off is worth the two times it doesn't.

I like Garruk's Uprising for card draw with big stompy creatures that also gives them trample. Colorless has things like Shadowspear and Rhonas's Monument as ways for boons and trample.

A great enhancement to trample is cards to prevent gang-blocking, like the green enchantment Familiar Ground.
