DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise thermal drone

Our geospatial science recently utilized a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise thermal drone to monitor hot spots during a prescribed fire at the SFA Experimental Forest. Thermal imagery can be very useful as it detects temperature emissions across the landscape. The Mavic 2 Enterprise interface not only records visible light reflectance and thermal emissions, it actually records the temperature of locations and can provide the maximum and minimum temperature within a user-specific region being observed.
Other examples of thermal data use include identifying tree stress, monitoring wildlife distributions, evaluating and monitoring water temperature due to power plant effluent discharge.
