My first mx race. I did not get a good start at all but came back to get second. Overall not a bad way to start racing. Moto Masters 8/25/13 Open beginner

On my first mx race ever there was 10 people and I did the same start a you but still caught up to them and past 6 people and came 4.Im only 11 and I ride a KTM 65 SX

I did that in my first race
of course most people who are empathetic would want to help but if he isn't hurt and you're trying to get better I would leave him.
if it's a real bad crash then yes you help but if it's minor you leave them, it's normal
nice race! Track looks pretty fun. I love races. I'm gonna give it another go for the 2017 season to qualify for Lorretta Lynns. Almost made it in 2015 in 250C.

hey man pretty good for a first timer- except for that start though. Start in first and just dump the clutch and you should be good. That guy at 1:34 to your left was hilarious

MY first race, I had butterflies, big time. On the start, I locked the rear brake, got knocked over, butterflies escaped on my right boot(barfed), all by turn two! I had not been riding long and let my nerves get the best of me. That was twenty four bikes ago, in '75. Jeff Ward was in our little group, when they had JWRP.

I honestly hate loose dirt and sand. I'm not a very good rider, but I do have a lot of experience and the best tip I can give you for loose dirt and sand is faster=more traction.
nice job...im only 12 but i am sponsered so u should listen to my tips...gas it on da corners more and slide forward as far as u can and stick out your leg on da corners...but for ur first race thats great and keep racing man...good job👍👍👍

If you want to get a good starting at at the gate go down on your gear then up so on second gear then you really good to get out the gate

can somebody explain me what happened to the guy at 1:34 ?? That happened to me today doing an 8 figure drill, ive fell like 6 times and i dont seem to understand how to get the hang of it
+1703rafa leaned to far forwards.. weight over the front wheel causing it to bind in the sand.
the dirt is so loose you can't lean forward and you gotta try and go a bit faster. I've done it before but it was because a big ass 4 stroke scared the shit out of me and my dumbass hit the front brakes so I flew over my bars. lesson learned. This was about 15 years ago when I had my kx100.

you need to stay in a lower gear around the corners so u can get around them a hella lot faster
my dad always told me to shift down to first in the corners and he was completely right

I was 17 then I'm 18 now. Never too old man!
I'm 18 and I'm starting now, the difference between starting younger and older is that when you are younger you don't have that fear factor as much plus you learn things quicker.
