My search was for Guggenheim scissors vs Cohana scissors and still haven't found that comparison. Otherwise thanks much for well detailed video on all the other companies.
Nice review. Thank you. What do think of Guggenhein IX Professional Tailor Shears, 9". Am considering them. But, I'm a bit hesitant since they are unknown to me. Plan to use them to cut upholstery vinyl, cloth and batting.
What got me on this video was an add for 9' Guggenhein IX Professional Tailor Shears. The only videos seem like a bunch of lady RUclipsrs that got a free set to review. That may not be the case but the only comparo was to a set of well used FISKARS.
If ya bent one handle a bit on the Wiss they should close better. So is the sharpen-ability issue about the plating? Cause ive noticed certain scissors (some quite expensive ones) go incredibly rusty incredibly quickly if you rub the plating off in spots.
Simple metallurgy... unless the blades are made from something like MagnaCut or CPM-20V, then they will oxidise Sharpness, edge retention, toughness, ease of sharpening, corrosion resistance are all factors to take into consideration
Kai 7xxx series is the best, there is no discussion to be had Fiskars is junk, coatings come off easily, not very sharp, blades dull quick, had a pair just snap after using them to cut some cardboard, absolute horse manure products
Inherited tons of USA Wiss shears from pinking to huge shears from my tailoring family starting about 1912. Still in perfect order. Too bad the new ones come from Columbia.
Kai are very nice. What about Titech?

Are Guggenhein good?
I live a few miles down the road and would love to get one of your interiors in my old suburban some day!
That would be cool!
Great video
