The Pen F is really one of the most beautiful cameras. I would love to have one too. Very nice diptychs you have put together there.👌The phone booth is my favorite. That's cool that your channel was previously for your art. My channel was previously my guitar cover channel. Lol
Thanks Daniel~ it’s definitely worth it if you can get your hands on it. It’s not that expensive atm too haha And nice! Haha I wanna hear these covers 😆
@@Bonsees I might even do that. the small lenses are perfect for fuji cameras. Sure I can show you a video. :D but there I was not big yet :D ruclips.net/video/f3yRPD9DK5Y/видео.html
I was looking at an Olympus Pen Ft one night, was about to purchase it and decided to sleep on it. Next day found a Konica Auto - Reflex half frame camera for a bargain. Still want the Olympus though.. she's a gorgeous camera. I LOVED your diptychs! giggled with the "hook up" .
Oooh I was checking out the konica autoreflex too, but decided that the Pen FT is the cuter camera 🙈 getting yours for a bargain probably makes it better though haha Thanks!
Dipt … what ? I learned a new word. 🤓 Thanks for the education … and inspiration at the same time !!! The 400D looks great. Can’t wait to get mine. But … the Kodak H35 is in the stores here now. Surprisingly expensive though. I think, I will get it, but wasn’t in a hurry yet, because Tokyo is simply too hot for photo walks outside at the moment. 🥵 Oh and 38 mm on the Pen FT ? An unusual focal length. 🤔 I think, the H35 offers 22 mm, which might be more suitable for many situations. Anyway, looking forward to your review then.
Thanks Berndt! The website I bought the H35 from said they ship at the end of June so hopefully mine is on its way haha I kinda like the 38mm on half frame, probably ‘cause it’s close to 50mm, which is my fav focal length haha 😂 but you’re right, a wider angle is probably more versatile
Sorry for out of content. I’m looking to buy my first film camera and one shop offer to sell “Olympus Trip 2(Panorama)” Do you think it’s worth purchasing as a beginner? I just need something for point and shoot. Something simple and if it’s manual, nth too complicated. I barely find any reviews relating the camera. Thanks for your help in advance
I haven’t used that camera, but do check out my thoughts on what cameras a beginner should get around 8:18 on this video ruclips.net/video/xRDW4Mnswz0/видео.html
Awesome idea! Never heard about the half-frame film cameras so far, but i love it and how you took advantage of this. I really love the thoughts you put in your shots and your different attempts, thinking outside of the box! C´est Bon! (intended pun ;D) It´s a really neat idea to push creativity and learn more about color, perspective and composition in general. For me as someone being realatively new to (film-)photography, this is a very welcoming attempt for gaining more confidence in shooting - thank you for opening up new ways again! Also its great to have someone talking about the "changing hobbies"-thing. For a long time i thought it´s about finding "the one thing" but more and more it seems like all these hobbies are some kind of tool for expressing your creative mind, so its totally fine and not bothering anymore - which was a very relieving realization! Keep up your awesome work, I really enjoy your content very much! Thank you Bon, love from Germany
Thanks for your really thoughtful comment! I’m glad you found this neat and gave you some ideas on what to explore next. And yeah, I think we’ve romanticized hobbies to the point that we think that we should stick to just one as if we’re married to it… and I guess that helps with skill development ’cause you get to devote your time to one. But really, I think it’s fine to spread yourself across many things, hobbies are supposed to make us happy, not trapped 😆 also, I found that a lot of things could be transferred among different hobbies… like with painting and photography since they’re both visual. I also like the Bon pun, I always do that like with “Bon appétit or Bon voyage” 😂
@@Bonsees Exactly, I think its even more like necessary to change back and forth to widen our horizon in terms of creativity and stay entertained. Limitations within a specific topic results in boosting creativity. Like choosing only 3 colors for a watercolor painting - but as always it needs a counterpart :D So lets always stay open minded to new things, go with the flow and we always will catch the waves back to film :P
Loved this challenge and the results Bon! Also really surprised at the detail of the Pen F! Love love love the photos of the phone booth and the playground. I would love to see your drawing videos, my channel started as an absolute cringe fest of Casey Neistat copying 😂 I’ve got so many vlogs in private it’s crazy 😂
Thanks Brendon. Yeah, the amount of details each photo has is amazing! It’s a good way to save on film haha. I guess it’s also cause Cinestill 400D is pretty good at resolving fine details too~ Man, I wanna see your cringe videos too 😂 swap? Haha actually, I kept a few cringe vlogs up on mine hahaha I can’t bear to watch them though haha
OMG i love your editing so much!!!! this Olympus looks so gorgeous
It’s very niiice~ thanks 😊
I don’t understand how come you don’t have more views. Your videos are very informative and entertaining
Aww thanks a bunch 😊 I’m assuming it’s ‘cause I’m not that consistent with uploads and the algorithm hates me haha
The editing is great Bon ! I was looking at the half frame kodak too because it's interesting, budget wise. I'll wait your review !
Thanks Eric. I just got that in the mail, I’m excited to try it 😁

It’s very impressive~ the lens I have resolves a lot of detail even with a smaller frame. I gotta give Cinestill 400D some credit too 😆

Hmm check if KEH has it. I got mine from eBay through a well-rated seller
