Another note of the wrist bands: Round 11 - they would turn red Cruise missles - the stadium lights would go up, then swoop down before the explosion - then the bands would light up orange and red. Small additional things that just elevate the experience, major props to the production teams.
Also with the claps, the “let’s go optic” *clap* *clap* *clap clap clap* - they would actually have the bands flash as well in sync (relatively) with the claps

Yeh I think optic got lucky. I tend to think drazah is probably the better player compared to Kenny, but he doesn't have the leadership and game winning plays Kenny has which are probably more important to optic tbh

They were just 2v2 warming up with each other, they wouldn't play anyone else for warm ups on lan. I'm not surprised that Shotzzy brought that over to his current Call of Duty team.
The thing for me is that Drazah saying no to OpTic was the best thing for OpTic. Getting Kenny added a leadership aspect that I do not think Drazah had. That work ethic, of course, but I don't know if that would have translated well to get the team together like Kenny would go on doing. Drazah saying no meant OpTic was gonna win.
Clay for Drazah is the obvious pickup. Cell to Flex again. You put the pieces around Clay it's a guaranteed ring. Back-to-back rings w/ Shotzzy/Simp and co. Clay was undefeated/apart of prime coL Dynasty. Clay got a ring in AW after losing all his hard carry's in Ghosts, still rebuilt OpTic in Ghosts basically. For whatever reason people would rather vibe than get a ring with Clay. I can't see Clay with FaZe/on a good team getting lower than 3rd all year, and if they do Clay is screaming/not putting up with it. Guy knows what it takes to win.

This is a hot take for sure but - I don't have a whole lot of feelings about what the crowd says with how the pros and coaches talk to each other both on social media and in the game/on the stage. The fans sorta mirror the behavior they see and when it's the wild west on stage, people calling each other dog sh*t and mother f**king each other, letting the birds fly at each other and even getting worse and the league highlighting those moments with comms highlights all the time, the fans are going to ultimately be bottom of the barrel and not treat the players any better than they treat each other. Maybe whoever the powers that be that will run COD in the future if it isn't the CDL should really consider to start putting player code of conduct into the rules and the teams should start policing their rosters on social media a lot more. I certainly can't go to my job and tell my peers they're dogsh*t if I achieve higher than them and if I @'d my coworkers on social media the way they do I'd be fired fast. I am not going to hear none of these figures in the scene talking about people need to do better when they don't set an example at all. I have 0 hurt in my heart for what the crowd says when the players are worse.

My problem is if Drazah went to Optic and Kenny went to FaZe, or NYSL, I don't picture Kenny losing Champs on any of those rosters. Optic has always had this genuine authenticity to how they go about playing video games competitively, like a "nostalgia" feeling reminiscent to how in the passed gaming USED TO BE. Faze and others have been around for a long time too yeah but to me Faze has turned into almost a "clouted up" husk of its former self and the genuine feeling just isn't felt that much to me then how Optic has been carrying themselves. To some it all up, Optic never sold out (and stayed real) faze did (and feel so damn fake asf).

Like it or not, being an OpTic player also means being on camera and being at least somewhat a likeable personality. With that being said, i REALLY dont think a guy like Drazah would work there lol. I genuinely think hes possibly the least likeable guy in the cod scene but maybe thats just me 🤷♂️

Kenny was the right pick up. Drazah turning OpTic down ultimately benefited OpTic’s team comp and what they needed to push over that hump we fans have been feeling since 2017. As for the racial slurs and everything.. it happens in every sport, and it’s just sickening. Especially since the New York guys are all likable dudes, and sure the players (Draz and Scrap excluded) are all friends outside the stage, but it’s obvious to tell OpTic and Subliners are close given the fact Dashy, Pred, and Shotzzy always stream, play and chill with Sib, Hydra and Skyz. I mean shit, they were all cheesing standing across from one another before the first match started for the GFs. So it’s just sickening to see those things leak out, especially considering that as an OpTic fan for 14 or so years, when all the sniping montages were coming out, that if they were to lose and not make the final, I would’ve wanted Subliners to repeat well before I’d want Faze or Ultra to win it. Just unfortunate that some people push the boundary way too far in the moment, and forget that at the end of the day, it’s just a game, and they’re all people too. As for Crim? Time to bring him home where he belongs.

How come the seeding doesn’t matter in the 2nd round? It’s weird how Faze(1) vs Subliners(4) in round 2 and then Optic(3) vs Thieves (7) I don’t understand how that makes sense. Top seed should always play lowest seed when its bracket play, not just for round 1
You're suggesting that faze should get to play the lowest seed in round two as well? It's certainly an interesting concept that values regular season placement more. But I do prefer that the bracket has a trajectory based on locked in matchups based on seeding but that drops off later when it becomes more about beating who's in front of you

To be fair, yes Faze had a bad showing at Champs but they still won an event and he contributed to the team’s success throughout the season. Can’t fault someone for making the best decision for themselves at the time. Few people thought Optic would actually win Champs after their Major 4 stint, so it’s all needless recency bias.

My problem is if Drazah went to Optic and Kenny went to FaZe, or NYSL, I don't picture Kenny losing Champs on any of those rosters. Might be easy to say given his results on Optic, but Kenny would literally elevate every roster he could possibly be on, I don't think the same for Draz and that's not a slight.

abezy has kinda struggled for his standards in grand finals but he always plays his best at champs i think he has one of the highest kds at champs over all the events hes attended
Optic has always had this genuine authenticity to how they go about playing video games competitively, like a "nostalgia" feeling reminiscent to how in the passed gaming USED TO BE. Faze and others have been around for a long time too yeah but to me Faze has turned into almost a "clouted up" husk of its former self and the genuine feeling just isn't felt that much to me then how Optic has been carrying themselves. To some it all up, Optic never sold out (and stayed real) faze did (and feel so damn fake asf).
Pretty sure the 1st of the 2 scrap pictures was him flipping off Kremp on LAT after they got their revenge. Hes sticking his thumbs out just like Kremp does. He wasnt flipping off Drazah in that 1st pic

Like it or not, being an OpTic player also means being on camera and being at least somewhat a likeable personality. With that being said, i REALLY dont think a guy like Drazah would work there lol. I genuinely think hes possibly the least likeable guy in the cod scene but maybe thats just me 🤷♂️

Kenny was the right pick up. Drazah turning OpTic down ultimately benefited OpTic’s team comp and what they needed to push over that hump we fans have been feeling since 2017. As for the racial slurs and everything.. it happens in every sport, and it’s just sickening. Especially since the New York guys are all likable dudes, and sure the players (Draz and Scrap excluded) are all friends outside the stage, but it’s obvious to tell OpTic and Subliners are close given the fact Dashy, Pred, and Shotzzy always stream, play and chill with Sib, Hydra and Skyz. I mean shit, they were all cheesing standing across from one another before the first match started for the GFs. So it’s just sickening to see those things leak out, especially considering that as an OpTic fan for 14 or so years, when all the sniping montages were coming out, that if they were to lose and not make the final, I would’ve wanted Subliners to repeat well before I’d want Faze or Ultra to win it. Just unfortunate that some people push the boundary way too far in the moment, and forget that at the end of the day, it’s just a game, and they’re all people too. As for Crim? Time to bring him home where he belongs.
Kenny was the difference this year! If Drazah and Kenny swapped teams I think FaZe had a really good chance of winning champs and OpTic would of really struggled

Drazah's mistake was not picking Faze over Optic that's dumb and hindsight logic.His mistake imo was the mindset and attitude behind it. He thought he was the final infinity stone to what was simmed to be a perfected system of the Faze Trio. Faze gets wins or at least get close, Optic doesn't logic. I feel like that competitor aspect is lost in some players because they wanna take the easy route. On that wins in 4 years list it kind of seems crim had 6 wins over 6 seasons. Idk if that changes anything but if Kenny wins again next season atleast once and the following season he’ll be tied with crim6.

At first when it came out the he'd chosen Faze i was annoyed but looking at all the issues with his GF and stuff like that it's just extra hassle. Kenny was the guy needed a proven winner.

I don’t think you need to play at Optic to build a career as a player. Hydra, simp, abezy, and Scrap have never played at Optic and are absolute superstars with very high stock. How come the seeding doesn’t matter in the 2nd round? It’s weird how Faze(1) vs Subliners(4) in round 2 and then Optic(3) vs Thieves (7) I don’t understand how that makes sense. Top seed should always play lowest seed when its bracket play, not just for round 1

You're suggesting that faze should get to play the lowest seed in round two as well? It's certainly an interesting concept that values regular season placement more. But I do prefer that the bracket has a trajectory based on locked in matchups based on seeding but that drops off later when it becomes more about beating who's in front of you
@@xxImBoit's just how it goes, both of optic dynastys 7th place champs finishes they drew the eventual winner in round one of the bracket after pool play. While it is unfortunate it is just how it goes. But in a bracket with 8 teams you can't expect multiple "easy" rounds of the tournament 🤷♂️

@@xxImBoThis is what happens if a lower seed upsets. If all went well it would have been Faze (1) v New York (4) and Ultra (2) v OpTic (3). It's a pretty fair way to do it. If New York got upset, Faze would have played Surge.
Joining OpTic is much better for the personal brands of the players, still, I think Drazah made the right choice at the time
To be fair, yes Faze had a bad showing at Champs but they still won an event and he contributed to the team’s success throughout the season. Can’t fault someone for making the best decision for themselves at the time. Few people thought Optic would actually win Champs after their Major 4 stint, so it’s all needless recency bias.

Draz on OpTic, I don’t think they would have won Champs with him. Already lots of things going behind the scenes with Kenny on the roster, what more with Draz, his big mouth, and girlfriend?
